23.01.2022 Top 5 quick and simple things your business can do to ensure you maintain WHS compliance. 1. Have an emergency plan and fire extinguishers ready. Train your staff in the fire plan and extinguishers. This is a legal requirement from QFES. 2. Have a first aid kit on hand and a trained first aider available during work hours. Communicate this with your staff. 3. Have an electrician test and tag your electrical appliances. 12 monthly in most cases. 4. Have an electrician te...st your RCD (safety switch) on your switchboard. This protects your electrical outlets. 5. Have regular meetings with your staff to communicate and get feedback. 22.01.2022 It has been a busy couple of weeks for Stop4Safety. Currently working with the team at Glass Outlet in Virginia who have been superb. A big shout out to Desley Gorle who designed my logo for me. Queensland Quality Embroidery in Brendale embroidered my shirts for me. Sharyn and the friendly staff were totally awesome to deal with. S4S aims to mentor small to medium size businesses with knowledge and advice on how to protect workers, public and themselves.

08.01.2022 Geoffs worklife started as an electrician in 1986 before Geoff moved into the QLD Ambulance for 9 yrs before returning to construction in 1996. Starting his Health & Safety career as a workplace health and safety representative in 1994 he continued as a HSR until 1998 where he became WHS Officer. For the next 22 years Geoff has worked as a WHS Trainer, Advisor, Coordinator, Superintendent and Manager in numerous industries including oil/gas, mining, chemical, manufacturing, ...rail & road. This has given Geoff a huge knowledge in Health & Safety Management Systems and how to build a system to suit the business needs. Currently Geoff is building a HSEQ management system for a Glass and Aluminium extrusion warehousing and distribution company who have outlets all around Australia.
