12.01.2022 Today I received a message from a beautiful mum wanting to get her story out after one year. So please take the time to read her story. If anyone else wants to share their story or have something they'd like changed about the page feel free to message me so I can do my best to make that happen xx. Hope you're all having a great Wednesday A year ago today i had the last of my stuff moved out of the house my now ex husband and i had shared as he refused to ...leave, i couldn't take the violence anymore and when services around the town i live in and even the police wouldnt help me no matter how bruised and beaten my body was looking from him i decided to take matters into my own hands for the sake amd safety of my son, today marks 1 year since i left the most abusive relationship i ever had and saved myself and my son from a life of fear and abuse. Since leaving and moving on with our lives we have had a few hick ups along the way and found people that are no longer in our lives due to verbal abuse being to much for me to handle and some of it being directed at my son (now 2) when it was never warranted; we have become stronger and i am no longer on suicide watch, anti depressants, anxiety medication etc and my son has now opened up and now lets males be around us without looking fearful all the time. Best thing i ever did was pack up my sons stuff and my stuff and leave; it was hard to do as i was always being watched by my now ex husband or one of his even more abusive mates, if i can get out and away from a life like that than anyone can. My son and i have come so far and we are so happy with how our life is now and the people that we have in it, it is hard at first but it gets easier and easier each day to the point where you wonder why you never left earlier. Since leaving my ex husband a year ago one of my friends and i have started a relationship and are now due to have our daughter anyday (they think shes going to come early), abuse of any kind is unwarranted and after growing up with it and being around it for 21yrs of my life im proud to say i broke free and now i have been looking into ways that i can help more people that are going through what i have by being that ear that i thought i never had, i have helped a few people i have been friends with for years with the abuse they where getting and they are even trying to help others out now, i might only be 22 but with a past of only abuse from everyone around me i am glad it is finally in the past and that i can try and help others out and help them leave that life behind. 02.01.2022 Happy hump day everyone! Hope everyone is healthy and has had a good first half of the week. Only one more day till Friday! Did you know: The majority of violence against men is committed by other men. Of men who reported that they had experienced physical violence in the 12 months before the survey, 73.7% said that the perpetrator was a male.
