22.01.2022 Join us as we protest against marine park lockouts across NSW. Currently we have no protection from governments with an anti-fishing agenda. We also want to review existing marine park lockouts and have them revoked if FAKE science was used to implement them! Join the group to stay in the loop! https://www.facebook.com/groups/531383587069186/... 19.01.2022 RFNSW, Kingfish Stock Assessment & Lack Of Transparency! #stopthelockout has continued to investigate the ongoing #Kingfish Stock Assessment. During this we were advised that a committee funded by the Rec Fishing Trust , RFNSW, plays a role in this process. Why is it that this public committee has not posted any outcomes of their meetings since 4th of February 2019? Surely there have been a number of meetings since then. Is this simply a clerical error or are we all being ...kept in the dark, with regards to this Committee and its operations? https://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au//re/licence-fees-at-work/rfnsw RFNSW advises the honourable Minister #AdamMarshallMP on Fresh and Saltwater issues such as access, stock assessments, harvest strategies, bag and size limits along with many other important issues, that have a direct impact on NSWs 800,000 fishers. Without transparency how can anyone have any confidence in the advice, processes and outcomes of the committee.
13.01.2022 Why we all need to attend the #stopthelockout fishing rally!
11.01.2022 Thanks Philip Donato and the SFFP. #stopthelockout this fight isn't over, stay ready as we'll need to stand up again very soon!
11.01.2022 To protect your fishing rights in NSW vote 1 for SFFP above the line in the upper house. If we get the SFFP an extra seat or two in the senate we should be able to block the Green/Labour/Liberal cancer thats trying to kill off our way of life!

07.01.2022 Once again, no consultation with the public and not even running it by the minister! Our representatives are being deliberately culled back. All the marine park... committees in NSW are being reduced in size in the name of obtaining quorums at meetings. What this is really doing is changing the political make up of the committees. We only need to look at the Batemans Marine Park which is going through a process that will affect the other parks in coming years. Currently Batemans has four recreational fishers representing us and will soon be culled back to one! What does this mean? The new committee will have 12 representatives, in the case of Batemans there will be one SCUBA, one MARINE CONSERVATIONIST, one MARINE SCIENCE and one TOURISM. It is well known that the people intending to apply for the positions mentioned are green extremists that spout mother earth platitudes which bare no real pragmatic solutions WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF FAIR AND EQUAL DISCUSSIONS ABOUT SANCTUARY ZONES / NO TAKE ZONES with four extreme greens to one rec fisher? To add insult to injury, the department has changed the terms of what is considered a representative. Now they only accept someone who is an expert and not that of those who represents many fishers from a group or organisation. In other words, who they choose to be an expert. All of this decision making has been done while Sarah Fairfull was acting Deputy Director General of fisheries. That name sounds familiar right? Thats because Sarah is the director for marine strategy and MEMA. The conflict of interest is astounding. The very same person who brought you the 25 sanctuary zones for the Hawkesbury Bioregion. While this has happened word on the grapevine is that a high ranking minister laid the law down with the department recently and explicitly told the department that an election commitment must be followed through on demoting five sanctuary zones in the Batemans Marine Park, however sources have informed us that Sarah has stalled the process on these demotions too. Minister, do you have control of your own department? Clearly not.
