Interesting that reading aloud exploded in the US after the publication of the first edition of Jim Treleases Read-Aloud Handbook in 1979. The Eighth Edition of this will be published later this year. So, go read to your children! And dont stop when they can read. Children through their primary years benefit from hearing books read to them.
