Here this father shares how the pain of learning of his young sons being severely abused in every way possible by their stepfather, while out of his care left him feeling helpless and led him down a very dark path. Here he shares how he learned to forgive himself for his mistakes, let go of anger and how he found HOPE. Craig Humble you are a total inspiration. Thankyou for bravely sharing your story to help others in our community know that they are not alone.

Hear how she recovered and the amazing path of hope she is walking today. And ... One man’s journey of living life with #EB. EB has been labelled the worst disease ever. 06.01.2022 Sharing this inspirational clip that one of our former speakers Luke Bourne put together of his amazing journey through his fight against the words rarest cancer. When I met Luke he was in the early stages of recovery and still faced many setbacks but was hopeful and optimistic for his recovery. He had such a wonderful message to share with the world about learning self love. So much so that I asked him to share at our Stories of HOPE event. His attitude towards life combin...ed with his story touched so many people and he continues to inspire everyone he meets bringing encouragement to anyone who thinks they are facing a difficult situation. I am honoured to have Luke’s story written in his own words as one of the twelve stories in my first book ‘Stories of HOPE Australia, Everyday People Extraordinary Stories’. Luke is an exceptional speaker and an equally wonderful human with a very powerful message of HOPE. Please watch this amazing clip.

04.01.2022 My STORY OF HOPE I would have to say the greatest achievement in my life as been remaining sober every day of the past 38 years. It’s something that I can truly stand and say to the person battling addiction ‘it is possible’. I am living proof. When I first walked into the 12 step rooms of recovery, I couldn’t fathom a life without alcohol or pills. I used to reach for a drink just to socialise let alone when life got hard and I wanted to erase trauma. ... Some days it’s still hard. There were many dreams I had back then of one day achieving but my life was destroyed by the disease of alcoholism. My life took a turn I never imagined. Regardless - I have had the privilege of mentoring and counseling so many people from all walks of life. I have seen them at their lowest point and had the joy of seeing them get better. Amongst those who lost everything have been doctors, politicians, scientists, pilots, CEO’s, Mums, dads, and then those who ended up homeless and totally physically mentally and spiritually bankrupt. Other than bringing life into this world, Nothing in life is greater than watching someone on the brink of hopelessness find HOPE. ‘One day at a time it is possible’ #mentalhealth #addictions #therapist #loss #suicideprevention #recovery #health #humanity #hope

03.01.2022 In my latest article, I share about the power of #inclusion and the huge impact it made in the life of EB survivor Dean Clifford. When Dean spoke at our November Stories of HOPE event, he mentioned that former Brisbane Broncos players Shane Webcke and Brad Thorn had given him a real sense of belonging and made a significant impact on his life. Rejection is heartbreaking for someone who is already struggling and Inclusion can make all the difference. For Dean a make it was!

01.01.2022 Stories of HOPE Australia Q &A is where it gets real. After our speakers have shared their stories we open up the floor for a no off limits question time. It’s amazing the way the audience feels so at home to be able to be raw and real often sharing briefly about their own struggles with our speakers in front of everyone in the room as they seek support and strategies from the very people with the lived experience. There is an incredible energy in the room and a very safe sp...ace to be real without judgement. This is community connection at its greatest. #authenticity #stories #human #vulnerability #inspiration #speakers #support #community #event #kindness #hope
01.01.2022 Knowing these two legends and hearing their stories have changed not only my life but the lives of every person who heard their story at our Stories of HOPE event.
