25.01.2022 To any of the beautiful Mumma’s out there who have been asking, Yin Yoga is completely safe during pregnancy. Of course with slight modifications and with the use of props you will thank yourself later for joining a class. Yin will soften any tension the body may be holding onto, especially around the baby. The depth of the postures being held with the beautiful focus of the breath will give you a light as a feather feeling in the body and mind, and I can absolutely understand as we all know during pregnancy the feeling of heaviness and shortness of breath are big downfalls of pregnancy. 20.01.2022 Lengthening. A beautiful thing that happens when you allow the body to stay in a certain posture for a period of time. Usually between 5-20 minutes. The endless benefits of lengthening the muscular and ligaments within the body, during those colder months we spend quite a bit of our time rugged up in the snuggle position to keep our bodies warm. Once those colder months leave it is time to stretch the body, giving the internal organs a massage and space and move any stag...nant energy or toxins out of the body. And if all of that doesn’t appeal to you the feeling will make you believe you grew an inch. 19.01.2022 Storm Elouise Yoga and Health Coaching, our aim is to guide people through the process of being holistically healthy from the mind, body and gut. This includes mental and physical health. We offer community based yoga & meditation classes in the Illawarra, group, corporate and sporting sessions, one on one private sessions including mentoring from teens to older adults dealing with unguided mental health concerns, meditation for addiction and gut health. Our belief is our health begins within and usually we find our students will have on going gut and mind connected issues from simple blockages caused from not knowing how the body reacts to stress and trauma. 11.01.2022 Spring has sprung i promised once winter was over classes would begin again. Here we are and let’s just say excited is definitely an understatement. There has been a couple of changes and super exciting ones too. Please check them out before and continue to watch this space. New venue, we will now be located at Shellharbour City Yoga Centre located near F45 Shellharbour city centre.... Classes will remain as a Yin focused class, directly working deeper in the body than other yoga classes. This class is for everyBODY. Class prices will remain the same. All classes will need to be booked, there will only be 20 spaces. Classes to be booked via text each week. First class commences Wednesday 16th September @6:45-7:45pm. Jess and I both believe wellness starts from within and we are both here to set our souls on fire and invite you along for the ride. Jess will bring her knowledge, passion and love for her Pilates to you all. Jess is a qualified Pilates instructor focusing on Mat Pilates, she is a big believer in having fun and enjoying mo...vement and her classes will be tailored to everyone from Pilates beginners to more advanced students focusing on working specific muscle groups at a pace that suits you. Jess and I will be in collaboration as a team creating classes and community events to bring holistic health to anyone and everyone who would like to join. A first time collaboration will be happening tomorrow night 6:45-7:45pm @ Shellharbour City Yoga centre. 08.01.2022 A scrumptious raw caramel slice, I prefer to use naturally sourced ingredients and organic were possible. (I doubled everything to make a larger slice for my entire family) Base 3/4 cup oatmeal 1 tsp cacao powder... 2 tbsp coconut oil 2 tbsp maple syrup tsp pure vanilla extract Caramel 1 cup dates soaked in boiling water 15 minutes cup cashews soaked in boiling water 15 minutes tsp pure vanilla extract Top Layer 1 tbsp virgin coconut oil 1 tbsp cacao powder 2 tsp pure maple syrup INSTRUCTIONS Line a small, square or rectangular container (approx. 10 x 15cm) Mix all ingredients for the base together and evenly press into the base of container. Drain and rinse cashews and dates then process with the vanilla until smooth. Add 1 tbsp. pure maple syrup if additional sweetness is required. Spread caramel mixture on top of base and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes until set. Melt coconut oil from the top layer over a low heat. Mix in cacao and maple syrup. Pour over the top of the caramel and refrigerate again until set. Lift out of container using baking paper. Slice into 16 squares and store in the refrigerator. If you want to eat this mouth watering slice without waiting (me) place it in the freezer.

03.01.2022 I would say I’ve always tried to live at least 80% healthy, through my foods at least. Only in my 20s did I start to enjoy alcohol and partying(as most of us do), as I moved into my 30s with one child and now another in the way I am seeing my health in a completely different way. I have begun the transition of my small family and myself towards foods that are as whole and close to nature as possible, I filter all of my water, cleanse all my foods in filtered water and vineg...ar if I can’t buy organically. Recently I have been right into the gut microbiome and how important it is for you both physically and mentally to be on track and like our brain what we feed our gut plays the roll in how we feel, react and the exposure to diseases and cancers. If I teach my little ones the importance than maybe I can help them live a full life from the inside out. See more
02.01.2022 For many reasons people join yoga, mostly to calm the monkey mind, tackle their anxiety or to mend any physical injuries. The reasons we choose are endless but all completely relevant to why you should try a class. If you have always wanted to try yoga but question yourself that you are not flexible or maybe you think you won’t be able to relax I encourage you to be the one who does try it out. Near all those who join my classes have this perception until they allow themselv...es to fully embrace the flow of the session. You will also be joining a beautiful community of people who turn up weekly, we love new faces and invite young, old, fit and unfit, pregnant pre and post. Yoga is for everyBODY.
