23.01.2022 DEFICIT DEADLIFTS Here we have @stronger.a performing deficit deadlifts. A deficit deadlift is done by standing on a weight plate, therefor increasing the height of the person and increasing the range of motion. This form of a deadlift is slighlty harder than a standard deadlift, and the higher you go (with in reason) makes it harder. ... Why do we do them? I personally use these as an accesory lift to standard deadlifts. Its a variation I generally program in at the higher rep phase when weights are low. - Improves increased drive through the legs. - Quad recruitment. - Improves posterior chain and lower back strength. - More time under tension. 17.01.2022 RE-OPENING Finally after 90 long days of being closed due to lockdown/isolation WE ARE BACK . Storming Fitness is re-opening in the morning (Monday 22nd June), and I am excited more than ever. I have been working my butt of giving the gym an update and revamp. New equipment, more squat racks, some paint and started the upstairs portion of the gym .... I have added in whipe stations, sanitizing stations and loads more precautions to keep every one safe and healthy so that we can start to train in the gym again . 15.01.2022 HUGE RESULTS November 26th until - Today! Beii started training with me only just back in Nov last year. She does personal training with me consistently 3 sessions a week . Beii trusted the process, first learning and focusing on the technique 100%, paired up with sound nutrition (following a calorie and macronutrient guidline set). Now we are increasing the weights each session and the results are showing. Not only has Beii seen results on scales, cms and in these bef...ore and current photos, but she is now not only squatting pain free with her knee but not having pain in day to day life and at work. Her strength, specially in the last 6-8 weeks has increased big time. At only 53kg bodyweight she recorded the following numbers in the last week,... One big thing we wanted to work on was some knee pain she had been getting, specially early on with her squats. Through hard work and nailing down that technique Beii has moved from box squats pain free to normal back squats also pain free. ... 03.01.2022 Small group training Some of my regular 530pm crew getting their squats done! In our programming we are up to sets of 8s after having spend 5-6 weeks in the higher rep range. In the higher range we moved from box squats to back squats and also paired the 2 up at one stage. This progression with the lifts and decrease in reps has helped to perfect technique!...
