17.01.2022 We have added a Deathwatch Style RF to the available earcap options on the Dropbear Mando Helmet. No additional cost, just ask when you order in the notes. It is detachable, and the RF stalk is printed in high density PETG for extra strength.

14.01.2022 We are having a Pre-Christmas sale. 20% off everything for the next 28 days (I know its early, but this is the only way we can guarantee delivery by Christmas)

13.01.2022 This is the time of year when our dropbear helmets behave a little differently, just saying, don't be alarmed it's perfectly natural, and in a little while we are launching the extra small versions for your little ones.

13.01.2022 Hi all, with so many people using 3D printing these days to make props I decided to make a short video to help people who may want to try print in ABS rather than PLA and I have do so on a Creality printer, I do this with one of my dropbear helmets but there is no reason this will not translate to other props. ABS has some distinct advantages of PLA, mainly its easy to sand and finish as well as being more durable and heat resistant but it can be problematic to print which stems from ABS being designed to shrink slightly as it cools to come out of molds (used in injection molding, eg Lego) With ABS prints you typically do not need to re-enforce the print with other materials like fibreglass and you can sand directly without it melting and clumping up a power sander. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7mABsqcIBE

10.01.2022 The plan was to finish our Boba gauntlets, but I feel we owe it to the community to model the upgraded gauntlets from the Mandalorian. Just need better reference pics first.

07.01.2022 Very soon we will be able to offer a Macro Binoc version of the dropbear helmet for those that want something a bit different. Its not finished yet, still need to model the ears where it connects to the helmet and print a few prototypes. I can be added to existing models with just a change of the existing earcaps

04.01.2022 With the popularity of cheap 3d printers has come lots of advice from makers in the community but this is often focused on PLA made props and helmets. We make our helmets in ABS so much of that advice just does not apply to our helmets so I have made this video showing the best way to finish a raw printed Dropbear helmet printed in ABS. No XTC or fibreglass or resin or bondo, it's just not required https://youtu.be/Cq0sBk2gfIE

03.01.2022 Corona Virus update: As the workshop is part of the same semi rural property our home is on, and this is a family business it is not effected by a shut down as there is no risk. Australia Post come to the property which is outside of Melbourne to collect parcels and we have been practicing social distancing since we started, they inform me that they have no plans to stop the service, again it is low risk. So people who have ordered props from us, shouldn't see too much of a delay, at least from our end. If you have any concerns please let me know but so far, it's business as usual for us.

03.01.2022 Since we have got ourselves some high resolution DLP resin printers, we have started making some of the more difficult nozzles and Greebles using it and it's been turning out fantastic. No visible print lines and no sanding necessary. We have been using clear so far but have started experimenting with tinting the resin to get different colours, also we are working out how much flex to add to the prints to make them more durable. Certainly a step up from FDM for those more fiddly parts
