24.01.2022 Toddler room review: This week we were so busy getting ready for Christmas . From making our spectacular Christmas tree to preparing amazing gifts and secret letters to Santa . Children participated in creating a big tree using cardboard boxes with the help of educators. Activities such as this can be a great way to encourage children to practice sustainability, and thinking out of the box in different areas of life. Educators also helped children to make some beautiful ...gifts for their families as a way of showing care and spreading the love and joy in this season. 20.01.2022 In Pre Kinder this week we spoke about Christmas, we spoke about about what we do at Christmas. Maddy told us that she leaves milk and cookies out for Santa. Kye told us that he puts white stuff around his house, Poppy told us about elf on the shelf and that he watches you to make sure you are being nice. A lot of the children told me that they put up their own Christmas tree at home. So we decided to put up our own room Christmas tree. Every child got to put a bauble on the... Christmas tree. We all waited patiently for our turn and got to decide where to put our bauble. 20.01.2022 It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. In Pre-Kinder we have begun the festive celebrations. we kicked off this week by writing our letters to Santa, telling him how we have been naughty or nice and telling him what we would like from Christmas. The children in Pre Kinder have requested that we begin looking at the letters of the Alphabet. We have covered the letters A,B,C and D this week. 19.01.2022 Christmas is around the corner and the nursery 2 children have commenced christmas festivities!! The children have been busy little bees. They began with decorating their own santa using pva glue and pasting materials such as cotton balls and glitter, they have also painted their own little christmas trees. They have commenced creating their big christmas tree using recycled boxes, which will be displayed in our room very soon, as well as beginning their christmas gifts for their families. The children are enthusiastically participating and working collaboratively together, sharing humour , happiness and satisfaction along the way.
