23.01.2022 These Year 8 and 9 students from The Lakes School, South Morang in Whittlesea were so amazing to work with We supported them to make this short film about key issues affecting their lives as part of a 10 week program coordinated by Storyscape. We teamed up with Vic Police, Headsapce, YSAS, Neami YFlex to deliver workshops on mental health, digital safety, alcohol and drugs, and family violence. We also teamed up once again with the very talented Monkeymarc, Mantra, Candice Monique, and Melbourne Playback Theatre to deliver the creative elements. Thanks everyone, and to the students who really gave it their all - awesome project to be part of! The project was supported by Victoria Police and The Department of Justice and Community Safety - thanks for trusting the process and committing to a project of this length.

23.01.2022 Was a beautiful event today at the launch of the possum skin cloak made by Elders supported by Maree Clarke, in a project run by Djirra. Also launched was a short film that shared their journey made by Storyscape and Djirra staff. Thanks to Djirra and the wonderful Elders, couldn’t think of a nicer way to spend time

20.01.2022 Opportunity for artists during lockdown! Yalinguth is currently seeking submissions from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists living on or connected to the land we now call Victoria, to visually represent the Yalinguth App. Together with Wurundjeri Corporation, Storyscape has been working on the Yalinguth Project with a range of arts, community and research organisations for the past 3 years, and we strongly encourage young and emerging artists to submit an artwork for the prize. Entries close on Friday 11th September

06.01.2022 Our youth safety advocacy project with Yr 8 and 9 students from The Lakes South Morang P-9 School kicked off yesterday! We're coordinating weekly workshops through Term 1 exploring key issues facing young people, and hearing their perspectives through a range of art forms. Lots of fun with Melbourne Playback Theatre and police attending yesterday This is going to be a fun group! The project is a Department of Justice and Community Safety and Victoria Police initiative.
