11.01.2022 Happy first birthday Story Wall! Each night for the past 12 months the wall of the Institute Building has showed fascinating and funny stories from the State Librarys collections. Onlookers have discovered stories about the glitz of the Adelaide Fringe and Festival of Arts, battlefields of World War 1, Christmas Pageant memories, pop-up books, Bob the Railway Dog and many more.... Stories are still lighting up the Library forecourt from 7.45pm and new stories are on the way, so stay tuned. 09.01.2022 World acclaimed creative duo, dancer and choreographer Meryl Tankard and her partner, photographer and visual designer Regis Lansac recently visited the State Library of South Australia. Images of Meryl Tankard and the Australian Dance Theatre, taken by Lansac, are featured in the Pina Bausch story on the Story Wall. Having recently seen the story Meryl was interested to learn how these beautiful images were brought to life on the Story Wall. #storywallsa

07.01.2022 Along with our creative developers Illuminart, we are proud to announce you will see a new segment on Story Wall at SLSA tonight, which coincides with the launc...h of our Play exhibition. Find out more about Ivy, Ethel and Everard Lucy, who lived at 'Alderley' farm at Modbury in the late 19th Century who were allowed to play with a very special collection of beautiful wind up clockwork toys, created by Lehmann Toys in Germany. Select this and many other stories at the interactive pod and enjoy after dark. The Play exhibition runs until 28 May 2017.

06.01.2022 Fifty years ago, on 29 November 1967, Australia launched its first satellite, WRESAT, from the Woomera Rocket Range in South Australia. Story Wall is helping to celebrate this anniversary with the release of a new story about the WRESAT project - see clip below. Look out for the new commemorative postage stamp design, released by Australia Post Collectables, featured in the clip. The WRESAT story is also featured in an exhibition, From Outback to Outer Space: Woomera 1955 1...980, currently showing at the State Library of South Australia.
