24.01.2022 Here is a 120x120f battlemap at Virtual Tabletop scale (5f = 50 pixles) for one of the scenes in "The Final Race" High-Space adventure. I will post the nine 8" tiles that you can print in hard-copy for use at the table shortly. This room contains one of the Paradigm Shards - part of a xenos device that may hold the secret to uncovering what happened to the Lantern Nebula. The local bad guys are using it to create mind-controlling vapors from a natural spring. The resulting ...mist is being piped to political prisoners. 20.01.2022 Joe Sweeney, Ray Duell, and I (Stu McDermid) are really sorry and we promise to stop making games immediately. First we make Republic of Man which is about a future world which is like Trump's America. Sort of a Libertarianish-theocracy. Then Trump gets elected so we don’t publish it. Then we made a game called 5% where that was the number of people that survived the flu-like-pandemic and you play child survivors. The COVID 19 happened so we didn’t publish it. ... Most worryingly though, Storyweaver published a game a well before that called Rapture which is about what happens after the biblical rapture. Since we've had fires, floods, plague, and now there insect swarms in Africa, I'm a little worried that we may have tempted fate the first time.

20.01.2022 vil GM’s Loot: S Word Appearance: a broad sword with a handsomely engraved sheath History: Henry was a teenager going through the let’s try everything once phase. Part of this was the curiosity to dabble in magic, so of course Henry just had to go off and summon his first demon. He drew the circle, recited the spell, and did everything right. Or so he thought. He was going to summon the demon Marquis Forneus, demon lord of chitchat and rhetoric. Instead he summoned Frak, a... low level demon who can’t give him any powers aside from being able to punctuate each sentence with a string of cringe inducing curses and extremely inappropriate words. What was Henry going to do with Frak? Frak suggested he go live peacefully inside a beautiful broadsword that’s been in Henry's family for generations. Henry thought, that hasn’t been used before...what’s the harm? The following day, the broadsword suspiciously went missing... Effect: The S word is bound to a minor demon that constantly swears whenever the sword is swung. On a natural 20 - the sword yells significant abuse to cast a spell that is the equivalent of fear. The sword itself does not have a bonus but the distraction to your enemies gives you a plus 2.

15.01.2022 Evil GM’s Loot: Bare Claw Appearance: Menacing looking claws History:... Lodi served as a mage for the King of Tumbleweed Plains. One day, the King came to him with a request to enchant a gift given to him for his birthday. Lodi asked, what sort of enchantment? The King replied with a wink, surprise me with your best! Lodi knew that the King had a hearty sense of humor. So when he opened the box containing the gift - a beautiful gauntlet with 3 menacing looking claws - he knew exactly what to do. He fortified the weapon but added a funny catch. He sent it back to the King with a note: Use this birthday gift in your birthday suit. It wasn’t always peaceful in Tumbleweed Plains. One day, the King went after a group of marauders who were raiding the outskirts, bringing the claws along since this exercise in peacekeeping was the perfect time to test it out. The King put on the claws, stripped naked, and rode to the outskirts wearing only a thick fur coat. As his party rode off, everyone stared at the impressive looking...claws. Mostly women. Probably because the claws were so big. So the King had a chance to use it in battle. However, during a particularly nasty skirmish, the gauntlet flew off and no one saw where it landed. Effect: +5 melee weapon +3d6 damage but you must be bare (naked) to get this bonus

15.01.2022 Evil GM’s Loot: Staff of Stuff Appearance: A sturdy looking staff with a small bell History:... The Staff of Stuff was just another piece of relic displayed at the Museum of Natural Magic. No one ever paid attention to it. It was created through alchemy to summon great wealth but that didn't work exactly as planned. It summons about 20 copper coins worth of miscellaneous trinkets like children's toys, candles, a barrage of random stuff, most importantly nothing that you could possibly want at the time. But someone took interest. The new night guard at the museum thought it would make an excellent gift for his toddler for his 4th birthday. No one even noticed it went missing. Effect: Legend has it that this magical item gave rise to the phrase you’re stuffed, mate! It makes small misc goods fall from the heavens in a 10 sq ft area. No one ever has practical use for it BUT the kids love it. If you're being chased +1 bonus to escape but you can only use it once a day.

13.01.2022 Evil GM’s Loot: The Jade ring of Jealousy Appearance: A ring with a thick gold band setting a big, green, jade stone. History:... Jasper proposed to his beloved Felice on the eve of his deployment to defend House Kalara, an ally of his father, the Duke of Larner. As an engagement gift, Jasper gave Felice a beautiful jade ring with instructions to never take it off. Felice thought it weird because, now she had 2 rings - a diamond engagement ring, and a jade engagement gift. Jasper had something else in mind. He would be gone for some time and wanted to make sure that Felice stayed faithful while he was away. So he asked a sorcerer to enchant a jade ring to keep an eye on everything Felice was doing. He kept track of that with a mirror where he could watch all of Felice’s activities. When Jasper came back from deployment, he told Felice about what he had done. Felice fumed. She took it as a huge sign of distrust, promptly broke off the engagement, and pawned off the ring and the mirror. Effect: Wherever you leave the ring, it keeps looking.

12.01.2022 Evil GM’s Loot: Sitting Dwarf Appearance: Fuming Full-Bearded Dwarf with a Gray Cloak and Black Boots History:... Clifford saw an Angry Dwarf Summoning Spell in some obscure spell book. He chuckled a bit at that title, but curiously decided to try it. True enough, it summoned a dwarf who just sits around and glares while making huffy noises. Everytime Clifford laughs at the absurdity of it all, the dwarf gets visibly angrier. Clifford has resorted to summoning the angry dwarf as a party trick and has decided to teach a few friends the spell. Effect: You summon a sitting dwarf and he just sits there and glares at your enemies +2 to intimidation As soon as he is touched, he will disappear in a puff of dragon weed smoke.
