21.01.2022 Some people wonder why we don’t specify specific plants in our quotes. Well there is 2 reasons... Firstly, we never know when we are doing a quote, exactly when a job is going to go ahead; it could be now, in 1 month or 3, but the plants available might be completely different in that time frame, and we always want to choose plants that best match your site, your conditions, and most importantly what has the best chance in thriving. Which is why at the time of quoting we make... an allowance for plants based on your style and need for planting. Then when the job is confirmed and about to start you have an appointment with your landscape designer and horticulturalist to specifically choose your plant selection. Secondly, it takes a long time to design a planting plan and a lot of skill, so if you are just wanting a planting plan of what to plant in your garden we offer that service too. Get in touch to find out our pricing for this service and how this works.

20.01.2022 It was our 2 year wedding anniversary on Saturday, and we just realised, it’s about 2 years of working together in the business too. Jack had the business in Melbourne before making the shift back to the border. The business is definitely our second baby, and the team is an extension of our family. Our tip to working with your spouse every day? She’s always right? (Jokes, kind of... )... But seriously, having clear defined roles. Sounds boring, but every time it gets hard, we realise we’ve stepped into the others lane. Who else works with their other half? What’s your tips?

18.01.2022 We’ve spoken about using your local botanical gardens for finding plants that thrive in your area. But what about using the Botanical Gardens of the world for inspiration? This Botanical Garden in Barcelona has so many enviable features. Our fave is the corten steel walls cut into the hill. (can someone please ask us to build these? )... But the geometric shapes, boardwalk, use of water and concrete poured into angular shapes are all standouts. And all of that is integrated with stunning mass planting without a lawn in site. What do you like about it? See more

17.01.2022 Ready to pour this East Albury beauty a new pool surround. Can not wait to see the gorgeous Limestone go down!

12.01.2022 Almost Friday knock off drinks for the boys after another great week by the team. Whilst I’m spending my Friday arvo starting on a Landscape Plan for this gorgeous farm. Creative free rein with this one and I’m so excited to see the plan come to life! I’m sure I’ll also get a sneaky wine in too! ... Have a great weekend everyone. Enjoy this sunshine!

11.01.2022 Garden lighting seems to be the first thing people take off a job if trying to cut costs. But gee I think it’s one of the best investments. (Good garden lights too- not the Bunnings solar specials, sorry Bunnings!) It brings a garden alive, in day and night. Highlighting features, making spaces usable for longer, and creates ambience. It has been a very wet week on site this week with the rain hindering progress. But these progress photos make us so excited for what is to come! And we can’t wait to see this garden lit up at nighttime.

11.01.2022 A garden we think is art. But where a piece of art finishes... A garden evolves, and the art continues to change. Maybe this is why we love gardens so very much?

11.01.2022 Here’s a random plant fact for you all. Iris is one of the original plants used in old time herb gardens; dating back to the Monastery era in the fourth century. Monks grew these and used the petals with alum to illuminate their manuscripts. Now when you look out to your Iris’s flowering you can reflect on a bit of history.

01.01.2022 Welcome to the team Eli Salthouse! Eli has arguably lost his marbles as he has recently made the move from the Sunshine state, to the aptly named Covid state! But we are glad he has, because he brings with him a breadth of knowledge and is an all round great bloke. Eli and partner Zali have traded in the surf for the snow. ... Eli loves the outdoors which is what drew him to landscaping in the first place. We are glad to have you as part of the team, if you see Eli about be sure to say hi!

01.01.2022 Plants are in. Cannot wait to see this garden bed develop with the Birds of Paradise and the Festuca cascading over the wall. It’s a wrap on the first stage of this East Albury job today. Now to give it a good seal to protect the natural stone and it is ready for the wall to be built.

01.01.2022 Look at that sky! Wow! Paving down ready for grout and sealing. One of my fave features on this pool is the beach at the shallow end. This wide step gives the kids somewhere to sit and play and for the adults a place to relax and have a beverage or two. Great addition!

01.01.2022 Today we finalised the design for this beautiful backyard we have named The Entertainers Garden, because everything about this design is about enjoyment for the lovely owners and their guests. It has it all over 4 levels; stunning concrete pool, fire pit area with floating bench seats, a massive deck area, outdoor kitchen with concrete benchtops and more areas than you can count on one hand to relax and enjoy it all. Add to all that, it is on Monument Hill with views over Albury. You wouldn’t venture far would you? Just over a week until we start this beauty
