25.01.2022 We are delighted to introduce our 2021 College Principal Dr Vicki Lavorato to the community and learn a little bit more about her. #spcstrathfield #SpiritPassionCourage

23.01.2022 Yesterday it was a Market Day with a difference for our Year 9 Commerce students. Despite restrictions, they were able to display a prototype product and enjoy the fruits of their labour. Considering the circumstances, we could not be happier with the boys’ level of creativity and passion to complete the task. Well done to you all! #spcstrathfield #SpiritPassionCourage

22.01.2022 The proud tradition of Junior School fundraising has endured and was celebrated in today’s Mission Mass. The ‘Selfless Silence’ initiative provided focus to the Junior School boys' fundraising activities this term. On Wednesday, in an act of solidarity with our justice partners, students and teachers spent two hours in silence while conducting their normal lessons. This small inconvenience reminded us of the difficulties faced by many around our community, our country, and the world. We are proud to partner with St Edmund's, Catholic Mission and Chetanalaya. #spcstrathfield #SpiritPassionCourage #justiceandsoldarity

20.01.2022 Today is World Teacher’s Day and a great opportunity to thank our teachers for the wonderful work they do. Teaching is a noble profession which helps shape our youth before they go on to create a bright future. In recognition of this, here are some familiar faces donning their sunglasses. #spcstrathfield #SpiritPassionCourage #teachersday #thankteachers #brightfuture AITSL

20.01.2022 Look what happened on Friday when the Mooney Mooney Rural Fire Brigade visited the College. Our Year 5 boys enjoyed a great interactive learning experience, and the top of Edgar Street has never looked so clean! Thank you to NSW Rural Fire Service for the work that they do and in particular to Mr Viney and the Mooney Mooney crew for organising the day. #spcstrathfield #SpiritPassionCourage #liberatingeducation

13.01.2022 These little legends from the Prep H Basketball team are the epitome of great sportsmen. In their game last week, they realised the opposition was struggling to match them and so purposely hung back on court and even passed them the ball . Throughout the game, they encouraged and congratulated the other players and at the final whistle, accepted the win graciously. They, along with their coach Old Boy Kelvin Koh (’12), are great examples of what sport is all about. #spcstrathfield #SpiritPassionCourage #inclusivecommunity #littlelegends

13.01.2022 The boys in Coghlan House certainly made a splash during their rewards day at Aquatopia Water Park. On what turned out to be a sizzling spring day, they kept their cool while enjoying the thrills and spills on offer. All in all, it was a great day out! #spcstrathfield #SpiritPassionCourage

10.01.2022 Year 6 are happy campers! This afternoon, our boys will return from an action-packed few days spent at Camp Somerset. It has been a great experience for our boys, and they are to be commended on the way they have dived right into every challenge and activity. Whether it was navigating the Colo river in a kayak, crawling through a wombat hole, or merely sharing a story around the campfire, the boys gave everything %. No doubt they will appreciate a home cooked meal and a nice warm bed tonight! #spcstrathfield #SpiritPassionCourage

09.01.2022 Check out ‘action man’ Dylan Parks of Year 9 as he climbs his way into first place in his age category at the Sport Climbing NSW ACT State Boulder competition. He now qualifies for the Nationals next year which could lead to selection into the Australian National team. Well done Dylan on this outstanding achievement!

08.01.2022 The Junior School razzled and dazzled today as our boys donned their costumes for the Book Character Parade. So many different characters were brought to life and our boys are to be congratulated on the effort and imagination which went into some of their creations. A special mention to first prize winners; Marco from Year 5 for his portrayal of ‘Grandpa’ from Grandpa’s Great Escape and Thaleson from Year 6 who looked the part as ‘Newt Scamander’ from Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. Well done everyone for getting into the spirit and remember, every day is a good day to pick up a book! #spcstrathfield #SpiritPassionCourage

05.01.2022 Today is Remembrance Day, may we pause and give thanks to all men and women who have suffered or died in any conflict for Australia’s cause. This extract from the Daily Telegraph was taken from an obituary to Joe Lynch (c.’36) an Old Boy of St Patrick’s College. Joe spent two and a half years working on the infamous Burma Railway project. It is a poignant reminder of what our veterans endured: Fresh from school, Joe Lynch, aged 17, joined the army. Months later he was with the AIF 2/20 Battalion which bore the brunt of the Japanese onslaught on Singapore. When Singapore fell, he became a prisoner-of-war. Released at the end of World War II he was skin and bones, weighing only 32kg. Mr Lynch never fully recovered from the brutal treatment he received.. #spcstrathfield #SpiritPassionCourage #remembranceday

04.01.2022 Our Year 6 students are all set to take on the challenges of the Senior School next year after participating in yesterday’s Year 7 Orientation Day. Our boys undertook a number of games and activities which included a scavenger hunt around the senior campus. They also listened to information sessions geared to make this transition a little easier for them. It was a great opportunity to meet their new Year 7 Coordinator Mrs Warsop, who is very much looking forward to getting to know the boys better. Bring on 2021! #spcstrathfield #SpiritPassionCourage #inclusivecommunity

04.01.2022 Well done to Thomas, Gianni and Hayden of Year 8 who were presented with Certificates of Commendation. The award is the most prestigious award we have at the College for Years 7 10 and it marks a culmination of achievements over a long period of time. These young men have distinguished themselves through their consistent academic performance, generosity of time and effort with numerous College events. Congratulations gentlemen! #spcstrathfield #SpiritPassionCourage
