22.01.2022 This morning at our Assembly, the SRC shared an important message. Today is World Food Day and it is a chance to celebrate how fortunate we are to never be really hungry. It is also a time to reflect and think about the 2 billion people all over the world who do not have enough to eat every day. Here at St Patrick’s we have a responsibility to not waste food that can be eaten. The SRC have challenged the school to keep whole fruits and vegetables out of the compost.... Every person’s little bit makes a big bit.

21.01.2022 Congratulations to those students who have reached their Bronze Award - 50 stamp milestone! They enjoyed having morning tea and some fun activities with Mr V-T!

20.01.2022 Recently Year 4 has been learning about length in Mathematics. We used a variety of measuring instruments to measure the perimeter of objects in our playground. We used rulers, metre rulers, tape measures and metre lengths of wool. We estimated, measured then recorded the perimeters of our chosen objects.

20.01.2022 Stage 3 have been reflecting and breaking open Scripture through the form of Biblical Micrography.

19.01.2022 Year 4 have recently been investigating angles and went on an angle hunt through the playground! We found that angles are everywhere! We took photos and classified our angles into acute, right, obtuse, straight, reflex or even a revolution! We had loads of fun and enjoyed using our iPads to record our information.

14.01.2022 "We see a need and we are doing something about it." These are the famous words of Saint Mary MacKillop. Every day, thousands of kilos of food scraps go into landfill where they turn into poisonous gases. With the help of the SRC members, each class at our school will be putting all their fruit and vegetable waste into our compost bins to keep it all out of landfill. Our two compost bins are ready. The one with the green lid is the one being filled and the one with the red l...id is busy composting and should not be disturbed. The SRC have been working with Miss Fryar and Mrs Rapa to learn all about the benefits of composting and will have an opportunity this week to share their knowledge with their classes. This morning at morning assembly, the Composting Program was officially introduced. Happy Composting!

01.01.2022 Earlier this year, we celebrated Harmony Day (March 21) by entering the Harmony Day Poster Competition. In all, St Patrick’s entered 191 posters in this competition and recently all the students who entered received certificates acknowledging their efforts. In 2019, St Patrick’s was recognised as an outstanding school in its support of the Harmony Day Poster Competition during a presentation at Parliament House in Sydney. We have maintained our fantastic level of participation this year. Congratulations to all this is a wonderful effort!
