21.01.2022 Weekly Learning Focus - History - Past and Present Family life This week year 2 have been learning about the past and present family life. The boys and girls in year 2 have been describing and writing about toys and technology in the past and comparing them with toys and technology in the present. Some of the things we have noticed is that the toys used to be made mostly from wood and now they are mostly created from plastic. We got to have a look at toys that were created over 100 years ago and also toys that our parents and grandparents had when they were our age.

21.01.2022 MIGRANT AND REFUGEE SUNDAY Migrant and Refugee Sunday is celebrated around the globe today. COVID-19 has meant that many asylum seekers and refugees within our diocese have lost their jobs, and for some with no access to JobKeeper, JobSeeker or ongoing financial assistance, they face homelessness and destitution. Two agencies who support asylum seekers and refugees have reported a 400% increase in the calls for emergency assistance and are needing to feed over 1,000 people facing destitution each week. You can help by donating food and toiletries. For more information, contact Patrice Moriarty on 0409 399 505, House of Welcome at [email protected] or JRS at [email protected].

21.01.2022 Congratulations to our Week 9 Award recipients. We are so proud of you all
