24.01.2022 A sweet gesture from our #StPatsTech Year 11 Food & Hospitality and Hair & Beauty students who this week donated raised funds to the Adelaide Koala & Wildlife Hospital. To make it even sweeter, the students baked and decorated individual cup cakes for the passionate and dedicated volunteers who care for injured and orphaned wildlife. Students were initially involved in making and selling dehydrated fruits, including chocolate dipped citrus, pineapple, apple and strawberry, t...o name a few. As an element of their retail course, students had the opportunity to brand and market their product with funds raised going towards their chosen not for profit. Dried Delights are available for purchase from the College’s Administration - $5. If you would like to learn more about the Adelaide Koala & Wildlife Hospital, visit their website http://www.akawhospital.org.au/

23.01.2022 Happy Shrove Tuesday! More commonly known as Pancake Day, today our #StPatsTech staff practiced their culinary skills and we were very impressed. Satisfying a sweet tooth, students and staff enjoyed scrumptious flapjacks for a gold coin donation. All money raised goes to Project Compassion, Caritas Australia’s annual Lenten fundraising and awareness raising appeal showing faith love and generosity this Lent. Shrove Tuesday is the traditional feast day before the start of Lent... on Ash Wednesday. Pancakes were once popular items for Christians to give up during Lent as they were the last opportunity to use up eggs and fats before embarking on the 40-day Lenten fast. #faithinaction Catholic Education South Australia #Caritas Australia #me4u
