20.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day! God our Father, we pray for all fathers: for new fathers, coming to terms with both the joys and demands of fatherhood; for those who are uncertain or confused about their role as fathers; for those whose work keeps them from spending time with their children; for those who are afraid of the responsibilities of parenting; for those who are unable to provide for their children through unemployment or sickness; for those whose children have physical, mental o...r emotional disabilities; for those who are violent or unloving towards their children; for those whose own fathers abused them or failed to love them; for those who are separated from their children by marriage breakdown, divorce or death; for those who care for the children of others; for those whose desire to be a father has not been fulfilled; and for those whose children have rejected their love. Bless all fathers, so that their love may be tender and strong, and that they may lead their children to know and do what is good, living not for themselves, but for God and for others. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen. From: LCA Worship Planning Page. Photo by Edward Howell on Unsplash

16.01.2022 Jesus replied, They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat. We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish, they answered. Bring them here to me, he said. And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up ...twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children. Matthew 14:16-21 Join us for worship Sunday the 2nd of August at 9:30am. 14.01.2022 1 Thessalonians 1:1-10 Serving God in faith, hope, and love Paul, Silas and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:... Grace and peace to you. 2 We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. 3 We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labour prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. 4 For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you, 5 because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. 6 You became imitators of us and of the Lord: in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. 7 And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. 8 The Lord’s message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, 9 for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, 10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the deadJesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.
14.01.2022 Thank you, heavenly Father, that through your Son you have reconciled us to yourself and to one another. Teach us to follow his example by living at peace with each other. In Jesus name we pray. Amen Photo by Melchior Damu on Unsplash
