25.01.2022 Here are some photos from Year 3 learning about Lunar New Year in our UOI of Who We Are, learning about how individuals contribute to society by their actions; and inquiry into people’s and society’s diverse characteristics. We love celebrating with our students and the special days they value in their family. ~ Kasie Bingham . . I love receiving beautiful photos like this in my inbox to share! Thank you 3B.I will add more photos in ‘stories’ after I get home from the run I’m currently delaying getting out of my car to do. 23.01.2022 Year Six Exhibition A big thank you to our Year 6 teachers and students for the wonderful Year 6 Exhibition! The display was available for the first time out the front of the school today, and will continue for the next two days. Although it’s a shame our Year 6 students can’t be there to explain their work, it is fantastic that technology helps us out with the use of QR code’s. We welcome our school community to take a look over the next two days. ~ Jen

23.01.2022 Whole school assembly We had our whole school assembly yesterday. Our student leadership for 2021 was announced. An ICAS medal was awarded to a student who achieved the top score within his year level. @greg_warren_mp attended and presented the Campbelltown Achievement Award and the Community Service Awards. It was wonderful that our school could gather together to recognise these achievements. ~ Jen

21.01.2022 Year 6 Valedictory Dinner What an amazing night! Following their Graduation Ceremony, Year 6 made their way into the hall to celebrate. Dinner was great, they all had a fantastic time with the photo booth-not-in-a-booth taking photos with friends, reminisced while watching a beautiful slideshow of their St Peter’s years, then danced the night away. They were so eager to dance that quite a few students made their way onto the dance floor well before the music was even turned on! We’re so glad that circumstances allowed this event to occur, and are incredibly thankful to all those who applied considerable time and effort to making this night a wonderful celebration. ~ Jen

17.01.2022 Year 5 had an amazing visit from CRODA this week to provoke their thinking around our sixth Unit of Inquiry: Sharing The Planet. They then looked closely at the NSW curriculum to identify the knowledge, skills, attitudes and key concepts that will guide their inquiry. What a fantastic example of student voice and agency. ~ Mr Stockinger

10.01.2022 Year 3 Campbelltown walking excursion Year 3 had the opportunity to experience the history of Campbelltown last Thursday on their walking excursion, reflecting on the 200 year anniversary of the founding of Campbelltown by Governor Macquarie. Year 3 looked at the heritage of the buildings, comparing the original uses of these establishments, to businesses that use these spaces now. They also considered the differences of materials used over time and changes they could observe. It was valuable and very interesting for Year 3 to explore Campbelltown through time on their journey together. ~ Jen

08.01.2022 ‘They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.’ ~ Robert Laurence Binyon .... . Understanding is often something that is built over time. It can begin early on, perhaps in the stroke of a paintbrush found in a tiny hand, only to grow and change over time through ongoing learning & conversation with people who seek to encourage it. . . Yes, we will remember them. And as we do, we will hand down the memories entrusted to us, encouraging understanding, as a valuable gift to the future. Lest we forget. . . ~ Jen See more

07.01.2022 Book Parade Literacy focused fun for the whole school! More photos in ‘stories.’~ Jen

06.01.2022 STAFF SATURDAY International Men’s Day (19th November). What a blessing it is to work with such an amazing group of men?! Not only our teachers, but also our support staff - guys we value you all so very much. Thank you for always giving us a smile when we need it, help without question, a listening ear minus the judgement, too much fun to mention, and posing for photos every time you’re asked. We are grateful for you all. ~ Jen . . Mr Calnan is taking part in #movember an...d if you would like to support him the link is below: Im aiming to raise $350 this year. If you are able to donate please check out the link below. At the very least, check up on the men in your lives. We may not want a deep and meaningful conversation but knowing others are looking out for us could help more than we know. Mr Calnan https://movember.com/m/MrC?mc=1

05.01.2022 Happy birthday for Friday Flossy!! A big 2 year old now! Or really, that 14 if we are talking dog years, isn’t it?? Looks like we now have a teen on our hands!! Hope you have all had a wonderful weekend & I’ll see you bright and early tomorrow for a new week. Edit: I’m so pleased that many of you have mentioned (in person, messages etc) you are eager to see posts of our recent events. It’s very encouraging that you value my posts so highly! I will share last week and all th...e fun that was had soon. Our lovely Year 6 class needed a teacher Friday, so time scheduled for social media didn’t happen. There are hundreds (sometimes thousands) of photos to be reviewed and considered before they can be edited & checked for children who can not be shared, before a post can be prepared. It’s huge. And it’s very important care is taken with our students’ digital footprints. Allocating my own personal time beyond the 1-4 hrs a night I currently spend on our two accounts is not feasible. My lovely Prep Koalas need their teacher to have prepared for them & have slept. Thank you all so much for your patience, understanding and support. ~ Jen See more

04.01.2022 And just like that, with the ringing of a bell, primary school came to an end for our Year 6 students. A beautiful tradition, shared with their Kindergarten buddies, was the perfect way to bid farewell. Whatever may lie ahead for our wonderful Year 6 students, we pray that they hold fast to the lessons of years past, always remembering the amazing grace that can bring them into a relationship with our living God. Year 6 we wish you well as you make your way to the start of the next chapter of your lives: high school. Miss you already. ~ Jen

02.01.2022 I have been asked to tell you some exciting news! The Book Fair will be having an impromptu stall tomorrow (Friday) morning alongside our coffee cart. See you then! ~ Jen

02.01.2022 STAFF SATURDAY I know, it’s Sunday. But let’s pretend it’s 12hrs ago. As one of my cute little Koalas said recently to our Headmaster, you just have to use your imagination! I went out to celebrate my 21st wedding anniversary and forgot to press post before I left. Soooo, here is our Staff Saturday post on Sunday! How great are all the staff costumes?!! There are lots I can’t share because friends don’t share bad photos of friends;) but I’m glad I have these to s...hare. I was super impressed to see that even some of our parents got in on the action!!!! After the challenging year we have had this day was a very much needed FUN day for everyone. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so many smiles! It is making my student Book Parade post very challenging to create, but it should be done by tonight. I hope it’s not too unbearably hot in Campbelltown today and that you are all staying cool. ~ Jen See more
