20.01.2022 St Peter’s is excited to announce that Yorkshire-based all-rounder Tom Neal will be joining the club for season 2019-20. Tom is currently playing for Woodhouse Grange in the Yorkshire Premier League North. A sharp opening bowler, Tom has taken 12 wickets at an average of 19 this season.... In his last match, he took 4-30 to lead his team to the top of the ladder. He is also a hard-hitting middle-order batsman who is capable of scoring quickly. Having captained his former club Acomb, Tom’s all-round ability and leadership will be a great addition to our squad. He has also already spent a summer in Geelong, playing for South Barwon as a teenager alongside our coach Anthony Ford. We look forward to welcoming Tom back to Geelong and helping him enjoy some individual and team success in 19-20. The club would also like to thank Drew Brierley for his efforts last year and we hope to see him back at the Saints sometime in the future.

20.01.2022 We’re excited by the progress of the major upgrade to our Herne Hill Reserve base. The $4m-plus building will replace both ours and St Joeys’ social rooms and change rooms. Our club activities will be transformed by a 200sqm elevated social space, with prime viewing to both ovals. The brand-new facility will be shared with Joeys on a seasonal basis, providing us full access to all six change rooms, the commercial kitchen and the social area. Tenders for the build will go out... in the coming months, with demolition and construction on track to begin later this year. We’re working closely with the Joeys committee and COGG to deliver the project and thank both of them for their ongoing commitment to deliver a facility that will serve both clubs well into the future. 09.01.2022 St Peters Cricket Club is excited to confirm the signing of fast bowler Dhanuja Nandana for season 2020/21. Dhan previously played in the GCA for South Barwon for 2 seasons where he took 49 wkts @ 17.55 with a best of 6/26 and had the knack of consistently removing the opposition's best batsmen. We are also looking forward to tapping into his vast knowledge, with Dhan playing 54 First Class matches in Sri Lanka as well as taking over 300 wickets in the UK. We’re really pleased to welcome Dhan to Walker Oval. Story from the Geelong Advertiser

08.01.2022 We are excited to announce the signing of Drew Brierley as our overseas import for the 2018-19 season. A Northamptonshire native, Drew is a top order batsman and off-spinner. He has played a handful of first class games after starring at the County second XI level. At age 21, he also has coaching experience and has captained Cambridge University for 3 years. 07.01.2022 Hello all, Given the high winds and the Bureau of Meteorology's thunderstorm warning for Geelong, we have decided to cancel tonight's junior program. We will instead launch the program next Friday, the 9th, at 5.30pm. A further session will be held in February to make up for the loss of tonight's session. We look forward to seeing you next Friday.

05.01.2022 The St Peter’s committee, players and supporters send our condolences to the family and friends of Mr George Walker. Mr Walker passed away this week, aged 98. As a founding figure and president of St Peter’s Football Club and mayor of Geelong West, Mr Walker’s rich contribution to our sporting and community life is recognised in the name of our turf cricket oval.... We have proudly called Walker Oval home for more than 50 years and are looking forward to many more seasons there in our new facilities. Our thoughts are with Mr Walker’s loved ones.

02.01.2022 It's official - the builders at Plan Group Australia have taken over the Joeys and St Peters CC clubhouses! This means that this area is now a construction zone... and ABSOLUTELY NO ACCESS is allowed into or through this area without permission. The last image shows the approximate construction zone and you can see that the access road running between the clubhouse and cemetery wall is now blocked off. Therefore if you use this as a shortcut then you will need to find an alternative route.
