24.01.2022 Just an update about Coronavirus. Today I asked for an update from Tennis SA and the EDTA about the state of Junior and Senior finals matches. At this stage there is no update and we are to continue as planned. Tennis SA are seeking direction from Tennis Australia. An update will be provided in due course. Kishan President.

10.01.2022 Last thing we needed over the last couple of weeks. Some people give us the Sh!t5. We are working towards repairing, fixing and replacing things that are valued around $20k. That puts a dent in our budgets so fingers crossed we can get some support. Big thank you to @cityofnpsp for fixing the fence quickly. Also to the community network of MAYLANDS, EVANDALE and STEPNEY. So we will be working towards safer storage access, and crime prevention through design methods to be lobbied for with Council when they look at our facility. Better lighting, different fencing types all need to be considered. @ Maylands

06.01.2022 To all Clubs: Based on the recent Australian Government advice where they recommend Inter-Club travel not occur, the EDTA Management Committee have decided to cancel both Senior and Junior tennis. 02.01.2022 Hi everyone tennis related. I have made the decision to cancel tonight’s Social Tennis matches as it’s safer to avoid contact until we know how it will all be unfolding. The Premier has also announced that from Midnight tonight all community competitive sport and training is to be cancelled including indoor and outdoor sports while the numbers of people also being able to use the venue will also change from its current level to a reduced level. I can’t stress enough the importance of safety, compassion and tolerance in these circumstances. As volunteers we continue to push forward, plan and manage our community facility and will keep you updated as to how things unfold in the coming days. Remember my club is you club and I want to see you out on the court again sooner than later. Kishan President SPTC and MAYLANDS SPORTS CENTRE.
