25.01.2022 During Sunday Live this morning, Jaime recommended a book that may help us do as Tom suggested in his sermon, that is to re-order our priorities: putting Jesus first and being less distracted by the things of this world. This book describes a gospel-shaped way of doing just that.

25.01.2022 Today is the first day of Advent, that time in the church year when we remember Jesus' coming into the world that first Christmas, as well as look forward to his return - his second Advent - in the future. During Advent, our church will be reading passages from the Old and New Testaments, which speak of Jesus' first coming at Christmas. Please feel free to join us by using the Advent Bible reading calendar below. Happy Advent.

22.01.2022 There was much joy today as one of our 8am church small groups - actually, not so small - gathered once again for the first time in a year. Grateful to God.

22.01.2022 Today, the government announced a further easing of COVID-19 restrictions in NSW. It is no longer mandatory for people attending places of worship to wear a mask. From this Sunday, you are free to wear a mask at church, or not, as you wish. This further easing of restrictions recognises an improvement in the overall COVID-19 situation in NSW, and the low risk of community transmission. As a result, we will no longer be livestreaming our 10am service. It is a relative complicated and time-intensive facility to offer each week, so we feel ceasing the livestream at this time is an appropriate course of action. We do look forward to seeing you in church in the coming Sundays.

22.01.2022 Next Sunday 10th December, we're back to in-person church at 8am, 10am, and 5pm. Masks are now mandatory, and we're still not able to sing. Also download the Service NSW App, as you'll be asked to check-in using our unique QR code. See you next week!

20.01.2022 Wooo!! Register here for Green Tent and Nightlife 2021: https://bit.ly/GreenTent2021

19.01.2022 Nightlife is our Green Tent program for young high schoolers! Each night, those in Years 6-8 get to explore what the Bible has to say to them as well as have dinner together and play some outrageous games before they get to chat in groups about Jesus. Registrations open November 1st!

18.01.2022 There are many things in life which arouse our passions: sport, music, travel, a relationship etc. But what of our passion for God? Do you ever feel that your "spiritual temperature" is running low, and would love to be more "on fire" for Jesus? In the coming weeks, we'll be exploring this topic and providing some inspiration from God's word that may help us kindle and sustain our passion for God. Join us 8am, 10am, or 5pm on Sundays throughout February and March.

17.01.2022 During November we'll be collecting non-perishable food and toys to share with people in need this Christmas. See the video below for details. Just pop your food or toys in the crates on your way in to church the next few Sundays. #anglicare #toysandtucker

15.01.2022 Come let us bow down in worship... for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. #5pmchurch #stphils

15.01.2022 All services at St Philip's are cancelled tomorrow, Sunday 29th November. We've had power lines come down at church which has cut all power to the church building. With 40+ degree temperatures predicted for tomorrow, and no way to cool the church building, it would not be wise to hold services under those conditions. Church is therefore cancelled tomorrow.

13.01.2022 We're so excited!! https://bit.ly/GreenTent2021

12.01.2022 Our memory verse for this week - "Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving the Lord." Romans 12:11.

11.01.2022 A small but significant addition to our logo. It captures something of what we're about at St Phil's. To commend means to praise, to applaud, to magnify. To say that we commend Christ highlights that we’re a worshipping community, devoted to giving Jesus his due in worship and praise. Commend also means to promote, to champion, or to share something with others. In this sense, commending Christ means we’re also about inviting people to put their trust in Jesus as Savi...our & Lord. That’s something we do here, in our local community, and something we support others to do around the world. Commending Christ in our community & the world is, if you like, our mission as a church. It always has been and will continue to be in the future. Let’s pray that God will keep us focussed on this, and that through us he’ll be gracious in drawing people to faith in Christ. See more

11.01.2022 More changes on the way for churches from tomorrow. The Premier has announced that masks will be mandatory.

10.01.2022 Mainly Music is underway! Coffee’s up

05.01.2022 Our evening congregation is moving to 5pm on Sundays! We're excited for the opportunities this creates to welcome more people into our evening church family. See you at 5 on Sunday!

04.01.2022 Remember, church returns to 10am this Sunday 8th November. Hope to see you there.

02.01.2022 Given the current COVID-19 situation in Sydney, and the precautions which health authorities are urging people to take, there will be no in-person church at St Philip's this Sunday 3rd January. Please join us online via our YouTube channel (see link below) for Sunday Live at 9am and 5pm.

01.01.2022 The latest edition of Southern Cross is now available via the link below. There's a feature on the opening of Stanhope Gardens, one of the major projects our own Glenn Gardner has brought to fruition through his work with NCNC.
