22.01.2022 Hi to all my wonderful pet parents. I am sorry this is my first post but with the COVID-19 situation ever evolving, it is the easiest way for me to stay in touch with you. I am escalating my social distancing protocols to ensure that myself and you remain safe and healthy. It is of utmost importance that I can continue to offer my services to your pets during this difficult time. As such, I ask that you follow these instructions: 1. I will not be doing any routine health chec...ks, vaccinations, heartworm injections or house calls for the time being. I will still remind you if your pet is due and contact you as soon as I am able to offer this service again. 2. Consultations will be limited to sick and injured pets, pets that receive monthly injections and rechecks of sick/injured pets. 3. If you have an appointment booked, please stay in your car with your pets and text ‘arrived’ to 0420702353. I will call you shortly afterwards to ask you any relevant questions. I will then come out to your car and collect your pet to conduct a physical examination and any necessary treatment. Once finished, I will return your pet and prepare any ongoing medications, which I will bring out to you. You can pay using my portable EFTPOS machine. Wherever possible I discourage payment with cash. 4. Post surgical re-checks - please call or text me on 0420702353 with regards to these, even if you have an appointment already booked. Where possible I will get you to send a photo of the wound. If sutures need to be removed, book an appointment on-line at straddievet.com 5. I will still be posting out preventative medications as previously. 6. If you need food, or medications, please text me on 0420702353 before 9am on Monday mornings to pick up Tuesday. Please make an appointment time to pick up your order (straddievet.com) and when you arrive text me (0420702353) and I will bring them out to you. 7. I am changing my opening hours to accommodate upcoming school holidays and home schooling while the kids are at home. As of week starting Monday 30th March, clinic hours will be Thursday, Friday Saturday 9:30-2pm. 15.01.2022 PARALYSIS TICK ALERT!! To all you wonderful pet owners..... please make sure your pets are up to date with their tick preventatives. I am getting multiple calls a day from people finding ticks on their pets and themselves. Tick paralysis is fatal if left untreated and can be fatal even if treated. It is expensive to treat and a horrible way to die.
