07.01.2022 Im going to try to design my perfect human being! Prof. John Mew said. I thought This is really interesting! Then he said... Im going to see where everything should be [in the facial bone structure], in order for everything to fit where its supposed to. He then came up with a mockup facial design: Mews Mesolithic Profile And then he commissioned an artist to draw a theoretical female face that matched that criteria (see the drawing in the video below). I went back to my office the following week ...and as I was flipping through the pages of a magazine ...I saw it! It was a photo of a real woman that looked like Mews idealised face drawing. I eventually realised that whether you have an origin from Africa, Asia, Europe or wherever ...there are certain characteristics that are not only visually appealing ...but also ...express where everything fits in a way thats optimally balanced. Thats why I usually say: Everything in its own place with its own space. And its not a racial differential. Certain races play out different characteristics when they have malocclusions but when they have ideal occlusions ...all the races look the same other than the skin, and the hair and the eye colours. and thats because ...theres only one place where everything fits! The majority of the people who will walk through your door will be teenagers who need orthognathic surgery. I always make a point of safe & justified orthodontics treatments. You should be able to finish every case you start. Theres no limitation in what you can start, but there are limitations in what you can finish!
