24.01.2022 OUR PHONE IS BACK Thank you all for your patience over the past few weeks with no phone lines. We are back online and the phone is already ringing. For all Enquiries please call (07) 4772 6550
23.01.2022 ATTENTION All learn to swim and aqua classes at THE HUB are cancelled. This is in place for the remainder of this term and we will assess the situation before term two starts or when we can be back in to our full facilities at Tobruk. We are still running our normal programs from the GRAMMAR POOL for the next 2 weeks until the school term finishes. This will also be assed for term 2. ... Please keep an eye on our Facebook for all updates, and if you can pass this message to any other swim parents you know that would be great. We hope all of our families are staying safe and we hope to be back in water as soon as we can. Thanks Strand Swim School Team
21.01.2022 CLOSURES As of tonight (Wednesday) at midnight, all pools are to close as part of the PM’s newest restrictions. We will be running our last lessons at Grammar this afternoon. At this stage we are unsure of when we will be re-commencing any of our programs. But please keep an eye out for posts in regards to this. ... We want to say a big thank you to all of our families for your unwavering support and look forward to when we can all be back in the water. We will all get through this together. 18.01.2022 ATTENTION ALL LEARN TO SWIM PARENTS We regret to announce that we will not be back in at Tobruk to start the swimming term next week as we had hoped. The redevelopment is moving along, but still not quite ready yet. As we are no longer running our swimming programs at either the hub or grammar school pool, we are now just having to wait it out, and will be back in as soon as we get the all clear at Tobruk. ... If any of you have been past recently, you will have seen that both pools are looking pretty ready to go, and now have some nice new shade sails up. We even saw some gardens being started on today, so fingers crossed we aren’t too much further away. We understand that these delays are frustrating and we wish we were in a position to let you know an upcoming return date, but for now we just have to wait. We will continue to take bookings for lessons for when we can return. If you haven’t already re-booked or would like to book for when we do return to Tobruk, please send us a message here on Facebook. (We are aware of the issues with the phone, and these are being investigated but in the meantime, Facebook message is the best point of contact) We can’t thank you all enough for enduring through this wait with us and for all of your continuing support. 17.01.2022 ATTENTION PLEASE NOTE THAT TOBRUK POOL IS NOT OPENING TO THE PUBLIC TOMORROW! - We are aware that the article in the Bulletin said Monday, but unfortunately this is incorrect!!... Although the council had planned for us to be able to be back in and opening for all tomorrow, there has been a couple of work place health and safety issues that need to be resolved before they can hand the pool back over to us and open to the public. Unfortunately until these few issues are fixed the pool will remain closed. This is not our choice and we understand it is another frustrating delay, but it is out of our control and we are all working together to get the pool ready for everyone’s return. WHEN WE GET A CONFIRMED OPEN DATE FROM THE COUNCIL, WE WILL POST HERE. Again, thank you for your patience and understanding and we will let you know as soon as we can get back in the water. Monday 830am - 930am Wednesday 730am - 830am Wednesday 830am - 930am Friday 730am - 830am Friday 830am - 930am EVENING Monday 6pm - 645pm Classes are $12 each or 10 pass card for $110. No bookings are required for these classes, just come on down and enjoy a water work out.
15.01.2022 Swimming Assessments for Term 4 We are doing swimming assessments for our learn to swim program for term 4. This is available for any new bookings to work out what level your children will need to be placed into. Come on down next Tuesday between 3 - 5pm. ... Once assessed we can look at availability for term 4 bookings.

03.01.2022 WE’RE OPEN It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for Tobruk Pool is re-opening TOMORROW - 28th July!!! This is not a drill! The council has given the all clear! Who’s as excited as we are Please see below for details regarding opening times, classes, etc. ... All public swimming and general use of the pool commences tomorrow Opening Hours Mon to Thurs - 5am to 7pm Friday - 5am to 6pm Saturday - 7am to 4pm Sunday - 8am to 4pm Stroke Classes & Squad All levels 5 - 8 and Squad will start from TOMORROW Session times are as follows: LEVELS 5 & 6 Monday to Friday - 330pm till 415pm - 415pm till 5pm Saturday - 9am till 10am LEVELS 7 & 8 Monday to Friday - 330pm till 430pm Saturday - 9am till 10am SENIOR SQUADS Monday to Friday - 530am till 7am - 430pm till 615pm Saturday - 7am till 9am Learn to Swim All of our babies, and levels 1 - 4 will re-commence the following week. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our clientele and families. Your support during the closure has been incredible and has definitely not gone unnoticed It has been a long road, with programs being run from seperate locations, parents running between two pools to get children to different lessons, lesson times changes, different teachers, and then adding Covid into the mix as the icing on the cake. But through all of it, you stuck by us on the challenging journey. And now we are finally at the finish line. Except this finish line is the big blue doors opening to our brand new pool So from Luc, Nathan and the entire Strand Swim School Team, we THANK YOU. 01.01.2022 Lessons Cancelled - Monday Morning 24/8 Unfortunately we have to cancel our learn to swim lessons this morning. The heater in the 25m has had issues overnight and as a result the pool is too cold to run classes. At this stage this afternoons will go ahead, we will post here if that changes. ...
