24.01.2022 Year 1 had a magical day today. We built a house for a little pig using recycled materials and tested them to see if the hairdryer wolf could HUFF and PUFF and blow their house down. We also made our own magical wands.

20.01.2022 Our Carnival Book Fair was a HUGE success today WOW..... THANK YOU to all the generous parents of St Raphael's. $4200 worth of books were sold, meaning a commission of $870 for our Library!! This money will be used to buy new library books for the children to borrow! The students loved making their purchases. Thanks to Mrs James for all her hard work setting up this year’s very different Book Fair

14.01.2022 Meet some of our Year 4 Mathematicians! They have been learning all about angles by measuring them, drawing them and even creating artworks with angles. They categorised 3D shapes and described their properties. The Year 4 students then cleverly used the Frayer model to develop a deeper understanding of prisms and pyramids

13.01.2022 We had a fantastic day celebrating our 100th day of Kindergarten learning today. The children were all dressed up - they looked fantastic. We thought about and then wrote about what we could be like when we are 100. We walked over to the Aged Care home across the street and blew kisses and sang our School song to all the beautiful residents there. We counted to 100 and made collections of 100 items. We wrote numbers to 100 and created 100 day crowns. Such a special day

13.01.2022 Roald Dahl Story Day is marked on the 13th of September each year to celebrate the much loved author’s birthday. Our Year 2 students joined in celebrating their favourite Roald Dahl characters, stories and moments with fans the world over. What is your favourite Roald Dahl story?

12.01.2022 Year 2 love Art They are learning all about colour and how it can create different moods. Look at their amazing geometric , monochromatic artworks . The students also investigated warm and cool colours by creating colour charts and using fun and interesting words to describe the colours they created.

11.01.2022 Our 2020 School Leaders have collaborated with Mrs Woods to prepare a promotional video about our Kids Helping Kids Day for this year! They have written the script, performed in the video, edited the iMovie and will then visit all classes to premiere their short film tomorrow! Great job Captains! 07.01.2022 Through scripture, prayer, drama and movement Year 4 led the school assembly in a reverent and reflective liturgy where they shared their growing understanding of the celebration of the Eucharist. We keep them in our prayers as they continue to prepare for their upcoming sacrament

02.01.2022 2020 NAIDOC Week Theme: Always Was, Always Will Be. Always Was, Always Will Be recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. First Nations people are spiritually and culturally connected to this country. At St Raphael’s we would like to acknowledge with respect the traditional owners of the land we walk on and we listened and learned about their history and achievements as part of our NAIDOC week celebrations.

01.01.2022 Our staff gathered together for Staff Spirituality Retreat Day with the beautiful backdrop of the Sydney coastal walk. This retreat day was based upon the story of the disciples on the road to Emmaus. We were challenged with the question ~ What can we learn from the disciples encounter with the Risen Lord? We shared The Eucharist with Father Gary Perritt and enjoyed a relaxing, reflective walk from Clovelly to Tamarama.
