04.01.2022 We recently held a Graduate Induction Day to celebrate our four Graduate Accountants, Dillon, Ben, Hannah and Josh. The day also involved an overview of each area of the business, a deep dive into the Graduate Program itself and a Scavenger Hunt that ended with dinner The Woodhouse Bendigo. It was a great opportunity for our Graduate Accountants to learn the ins and outs of the business and to get to know our staff on a deeper level.... The Graduate Induction Day was a great day to really get to know the business and how it operates. We were provided with lots of information to retain while also getting to hear from different co-workers throughout the day. The induction day also provided some fun with the scavenger hunt, collecting information and fun facts about fellow co-workers and a trip to Ulumbarra Theatre. With tax time just around the corner, its important to know what you may be eligible to claim when completing your tax return. The Australian Taxation Office have introduced a simplified method to claiming your working from home expenses incurred between 1 March 2020 and 30 June 2020. ... The simplified method allows employees to claim 80 cents for each hour worked from home and covers: Heating, cooling and lighting expenses Cleaning costs Phone and internet expenses Computer consumables including printers and ink cartidges Decline in value of assets including computers You do not need to have a separate dedicated working space but you do need to keep a record of the hours worked from home. This can be in the form of a diary, timesheets or rosters.
