25.01.2022 During my quiet time with the Lord He brought a vision to mind. In the first vision, I saw the Lord stoop down and pick up a bird’s nest with a little baby sparrow in it. He did so to care for the little one. His actions reminded me of His gentleness as described in the following scripture.... Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:28-29) Then in a second vision, the Lord showed me a scene of Him hurling a spear into the air in battle mode against His enemies. As I pondered the second vision, the Lord led me to this next scripture. Sun and moon stood still in the heavens at the glint of your flying arrows, at the lightning of your flashing spear. In wrath you strode through the earth and in anger you threshed the nations. You came out to deliver your people, to save your anointed one. (Habakkuk 3:11-13) In this context, the flying arrows and flashing spear symbolize His word which is like a fire and a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces (Jeremiah 23:29) The thing that struck me about the two visions was the contrast. On the one hand we see the familiar and comfortable loving and gentle Lord, but in the next breath we see Him roused to anger striding through the earth to save His people. What do you see is the message of the two visions? Thank goodness the Lord is a wise and holy God and knows the difference between when gentleness and anger is needed - and that He is slow to anger. As for us, it is good to fear and obey the Lord. Image sourced from Bible Verse Images on 22nd January 2021. Design created by Heartlight.org

21.01.2022 The Lord is always in the process of building up the body of Christ as a whole, and each of his children in His infinite love and care. Although there may be pruning involved in this building process the purpose is nonetheless to help us all mature, develop and grow so as to produce good fruit for the kingdom of God. So, how does He build us up?... We know that We all possess knowledge. But knowledge puffs up while love builds up. (1 Corinthians 8:1) He builds us up with His love. What else does He do to build His temple? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:12) He sends His helpers to encourage and strengthen us. How does He build up the body of Christ as a whole? From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. (Ephesians 4:16) He involves all of his children in His building work His work of love. His work stems from Him.

10.01.2022 In a dream overnight the Lord showed me a scene of a bedroom where there were swirls of white light, mixed with flashes of blue light in the room and the light surrounded the head of a person who was sleeping. The dream reminded me of scriptures that talk about how the Lord talks with all of us in the night hours, as follows: Then God came to Laban the Aramean in a dream at night and said to him, Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad. (Genesis 31:24)... and By day the LORD directs his love, at night his song is with me a prayer to the God of my life. (Psalm 42:8) and At Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon during the night in a dream, and God said, Ask for whatever you want me to give you. (1 Kings 3:5) My understanding is the white light signifies the Presence of the Lord (2 Samuel 22:13), and the blue light represents His word given to us to walk by His ways (Exodus 24:10). How sweet it is to know the Lord, and to be able to receive His counsel day and night. Image sourced from Bible Verse Images on 24th January 2021. Design created by Sweet to the Soul Ministries.

09.01.2022 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (2 Corinthians 4:17) What do you value about this scripture? The perspective that our troubles are light and momentary is encouraging. It means our troubles won’t last and that there is an important purpose in these troubles.... For the Lord has in mind things of eternal value things that last and don’t rust or fade away. The things of eternal value far ‘outweigh’ the ‘light’ things. The things of eternal value are weighty they last for all eternity. It’s a bit like the process of removing dross when refining gold. In the intense heat when refining gold, the dross rises to the surface and is removed, but the weighty gold remains. In the above analogy the dross is likened to sin, and the gold to faith and the result of refining is all to the praise, glory and honour of our Lord Jesus Christ. In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faithof greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by firemay result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. (1 Peter 1:6-7)

04.01.2022 What is love? Many people have sought to define love but scripture says ‘God is love’ Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. (1 John 4:8) Therefore, if we look at who God is, and the things He says and does we will begin to grasp what love is.... So, who is God? He is compassionate and gracious Slow to anger Abounding in love and faithfulness Maintaining love to thousands Forgiving of wickedness, rebellion and sin He does not leave the guilty unpunished And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished (Exodus 34:6-7) What do you value about Him, and His love for you? Image sourced from Bible Verse Images 20th January 2021. 01.01.2022 In my prayer time with the Lord He said He had a vision to show me but it was a vision with a difference. It was a vision of what is to come. This is His vision. ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. (Acts 2:17)... Then He led me to the following verse in scripture. The visions of your prophets were false and worthless; they did not expose your sin to ward off your captivity. The prophecies they gave you were false and misleading. (Lamentations 2:14) As I read these words I wondered are all visions false if they don’t expose sin? I felt prompted to ask the Lord for His counsel as I did so He led me to the next scripture when Jacob had a beautiful dream and encountered the presence of the Lord. He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. There above it stood the LORD, and he said: I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. (Genesis 28:12-13) As I continued to reflect on these scriptures this is what I saw. The Lord is letting us know He is going to pour out His Spirit on ALL people. The result will be that ALL people will have dreams, and visions of the Lord. Furthermore, that the dreams and visions will be both pleasant and encouraging so as to build us up and they will also be unpleasant so as to expose sin in order to set us free from captivity. In other words in the end ALL in the Kingdom of God win either way! I don’t know about you but I like His vision. Image sourced from Bible Verse Images on 23rd January 2021.
