25.01.2022 Another great turnout last night and a big congratulations to our three Auskick legends, Chase Shaw, Jagger Hurley & Ashley Curtis. Well done guys. Id like to thank again all the parents that helped last night. Believe me, the program doesnt go ahead without your assistance. Id like to remind everyone that the gear we use does not belong to Stratford Auskick but to the Stratford Football Club. I know I must come across as a grumpy old codger but please can we not have our little ones use the gear who are not enrolled in Auskick. Finally, I wont be there next week. I have arranged for the rooms to be opened nice and early. The balls will be pumped, awards ready to hand out and a lesson plan ready to pass on. Please dont be shy, tell me if you can assist and Ill pass all the equipment on. Looking at you Zeb Sarah Harper lol.

25.01.2022 Gday everyone. Just when you thought Auskick was finished, weve been invited to play at halftime at Boisdale between the the Bombers vs Swans this weekend. Be at the ground just before 3pm. Parents and your Auskick legend will get in for free and they will receive a bucket of chips and drink after the match. Please let me know if you are keen to play this week via pm or let me know in the comments.... Boisdale only have 12 players at this stage so if I get over 12 kids interested in playing keep in mind they may have to play for Boisdale. Hope to see you all Saturday arvo. See more

23.01.2022 Gday everyone, I hope every child registered to do Auskick this year is collecting aluminium cans. Because the child with the most cans will win a Sherrin football, a sports bag, drink bottle and a $10 voucher, donated by the awesome staff at SPORTF1RST. All money collected from the cash-a-can competition will go directly back into Stratford Junior Football Club. So if dad, pop, uncle Bruce or anyone you know drinks stubbies, ask them to switch to cans for the Auskick season to help out your Auskick legend. More prizes to follow.

22.01.2022 Gday everyone, it was a rather small turn out last night, but given its the school holidays thats to be expected. I got there late but what I saw is very impressive. To see the kids develop so much since the start of the program and now to see kids look to handball or kick to a teammate during a game is exactly what we set out to achieve. One child told me a few weeks ago he didnt want to do an exercise because he couldnt bounce the ball, now when he gets the ball he bo...unces it and it comes back to him. All the kids hand/eye coordination has improved greatly and its evident when we play zone footy. Remember next week is our last Auskick session and we are having snags in bread after training and awards ect will be presented. I know not all of you will be able to attend but I will have your childs certificate and medal, so if you drop me a line next week some time we can arrange a pick up. See you next week.

22.01.2022 Heres little Ivys can collection so far. She collects cans when we go on our walks/rides. When we go 4WD well collect cans that are on the track. She collected 49 last outing. Shes achieved this with minimal input from her poppy lol. I hope everyone is still collecting and Ill get in touch with you all when Auskick is about to start with all the relevant information.

21.01.2022 Congratulations to our Auskick legends who represented Stratford at half time during the Bulldogs v Dockers match this afternoon. You little champs. Even managed to get on tv. Hope poor Logan gets well soon who got really sick the night before. So stoked for you little dudes.

20.01.2022 Gday everyone, well, thats another season of Auskick down for this year. It was great to see the development of all the kids, from their bouncing skills, kicking and hand balling, theyve all come such a long way. We had 35 registered Auskickers this year and running a program with that many kids solo just doesnt happen. I must give a big thank you to Pady Brady for running the show in my absence. Rowan Marsden, Kyl Johnson, Barto Snr & Jnr, thank you, and every other pare...nt that chopped me out during the year. Thanks to all the senior players that came over to give our little guys a helping hand, its truly appreciated. Thanks to Mark Nichols for all your assistance during the year. Thanks to Peter Morrison for the brain storming ideas at the back of your shop. Lastly, thanks to the Shaw family for donating the snags for the end of our last session and Stratford Bake House for donating the loaves of bread. Ill see you all next year. Cheers, PS. 16.01.2022 Another massive turnout last night, I swear we get more kids every week lol. Our Auskick legends for last night were Wade Longmuir, Lexi Fisher & Jack Cartwright. Well done guys. A huge thank you to all the mums that offered food when my eldest boy was having a low, it was greatly appreciated. Thank you all again. Again a big thank you to all the helpers. Without you guys, no matter how organised I am, the session doesnt go ahead. I wont be in attendance next week and Patrick Brady will be taking the reins. Patrick has done this before so look forward to a great session. See you all in a fortnight.

But that aside congratulations to our three Auskick legends for this week, Ivy Battley, Paygen Bates and Isla Dorning. The swap meet will happen before Auskick commences. But dont worry if you arrive a tad late well make sure no one misses out, even if it means running into our warm-ups lol. 14.01.2022 Gday everyone, a couple apologies to say first up. Sorry to the kids and the parents (my wife included) who got hit with the footy while playing roller ball this evening. It was a game that weve played in the past but tonight got a tad out of hand and I think I wont be playing it again. We dont want to see out Auskick legends getting hurt. But to their credit they all shrugged it off and kept on participating, so great effort guys. Second apology for not giving a big shou...t out to the three Auskick legends from last week. Jimmy Brennan, Jude Brady & Luke Bennett. Top job guys. Tonight saw our first ever AFL card swap meet with a really good turn out. I hope everyone that attended walked away with some sort after cards that they needed. It was another great turn out tonight and I think dividing up the older kids with the first year kids sees the program run a lot smoother. Im pretty sure they all love playing an actual game. 13.01.2022 Another big turnout this afternoon for our second AFL footy card swap meet. Hopefully all those involved got the cards they were after. Our four little Auskick legends this week are Emerson Harper, Bronx Garrett, Logan Powell & Koby Dorning. Great effort guys. Its fantastic to see all the kids skills developing and the scratch matches on the far side of the ground get better and better each week. Remember our Cash-A-Can comp is still running. So please get this cans into me so we can raise some money for our club and give our little Auskick champ a chance at winning a cool prize.

13.01.2022 A great day and a great turn out for the half time entertainment between the Stratford Swans v Paynesville Seagulls. We did a skills course if front of the club rooms. The kids had a ball and gave a guard of honour for the seniors running out after half time. The arvo was topped off with a drink and a bucket of chips. Thank you to the Stratford Football Club for the invitation and we look forward to doing it again.

I have a big green bag full but no label and a white shopping bag with no label. Can someone help me out please?

03.01.2022 Welcome back from the school holidays everyone. Tonight saw a massive turnout with what felt like every kid from Stratford was there to have a kick. Congrats to our four Auskick legends for the week, Hunter Kerton, Isla Dorning, Kade Knight & Chase Shaw. The cash a can competition has now ceased and I am no longer taking bags of cans. Ill include the cans that were given to me tonight and the others by arrangement as I couldnt fit any more into the back of my car. Ill tall...y the cans up very soon and Ill announce the winners in the next couple of weeks. This Saturday our Auskick legends have the chance to display their skills at half time during the seniors match. Rather than a game I will set up an obstacle course, similar to what we have during the week. Parents and your child will get in for free, just mention to the people at the gate that you are there for the Auskick halftime session. Ive been advised to be at the ground by 3:15pm. After the session the kids will be entitled to a drink and a hotdog/pie. Make sure you wear your teams colours and I look forward to seeing you all there. See more
