25.01.2022 The start of some padded aventails from a recycled towel. Need to fill it and quilt it, currently reviewing on how to go about it.

25.01.2022 Finishing off a basic plastic Brigandine with leftover material. Just need to add the straps.

21.01.2022 Completed scrap punching bag. Easy build just time consuming and a recycling materials from almost all other projects. Considering wrapping it with gaffer tape for 2 reasons to make it water resistant and so I don't skin my knuckles on the stitches that are thick cord. Nevertheless I used 3 shopping bags of scraps with literally no other uses other than a filler.

16.01.2022 (not complete) learning project - Basic Coat of plates from around 12thC with some modern anachronisms/mods consisting of 6 large plates simply laced together with what ever cord I had laying around instead of rivits just to see the common shape it would take.. , just getting the idea of it before cutting steel sheet plates,i will cover this with a fabric or leather of some sort aswell as doing shoulder straps and sides around to the back where it will be laced up. Was very quick to make, no wonder it was a very popular piece of armor for the better off common folk.

16.01.2022 Early 12-14ish C coat of plates also made from a washing machine lol... All the edges are rolled and laced together with 550 paracord, need to find a good cover for it now.. then get the strapping/ buckles done done. This was my first go at edgeing the metal plates.

15.01.2022 First Home-made mild steel Seax from modern prefab materials. Made in the last two days with Martin. Still needs a sharpen, A nice little wall-hanger.

11.01.2022 ((Progress Update: Patchwork Coat of Plates.)) So I have re-designed and improved my Coat if Plates with better Spalders/ arm and shoulder, since it's mainly connected with 4 bolts, 8 washers, cord and a stretchy belt. Nevertheless this project is not complete as I need to figure out how I can attach the Tasets/ leg and thigh, pieces to the main coat. Plus improving the coverage of the main big gaps.... I have been thinking of - An economic and effective way to provide some extra protection over the stitches areas using readily available materials from the local Bunnings but more on that when I get there. As well as improving the belt loops on the main coat incorporating it into the suit itself, here I'm only using add on's only tied on to the front of the coat. The pieces for the shoulders I originally made will be put to other uses in this project. I experimented with space consumption/ packing it all away (Sort of like an IKEA flat pack lol) it's actually pretty compact and is tied off with the belt.

09.01.2022 That moment when you break you're only hole punch. That moment when you break you're only hole punch.

09.01.2022 finishing off an older project... Washing machine cuirass :P started rolling the edges. Need to trim the bottom as it's a little long for me also to add a Plackart and Faulds. Definitely much more comfortable... Keen to get this finished.

08.01.2022 As Part of the Process Update on the Patchwork Coat of Plates I needed to figure afew things out so enjoy. Cheers

05.01.2022 Time to stick down the material then to finish up the edges and strapping.

04.01.2022 The beginning of a scrap punching bag from pre-made pieces I made last year. Needless to say I have a lot of in usable scraps enough to grant a project like this. Will post more photos when completed.

04.01.2022 Quarantine project for the pending Apocalypse...LOL... This is the "Patchwork Brigandine or Coat of Plates" It is a poor man's basic metal plate armor bound in leather various ways if you care to look it up. ... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brigandine Though this project not historically accurate as there isn't many surviving relics anyway this is just a modern anachronism. I can neither prove or disprove the existence of an exact replication. This project is Made entirely of scrap leather and metal found not bought at a shop. Give or take a few bolts, washers and cord. What I'm thinking is either lace holes along either abdominal side to lace it up like a hardcore corset or... Like I have done here just adding some belt loops. Plus makeing the spalders (upper arm / shoulder ) either longer or bigger and some lace around the arm to keep it in place.

03.01.2022 (not complete) learning project using a HDPE plastic barrel scraps - Basic Coat of plates from around 12-14thC with what ever cord I had laying around instead of rivits just to see the common shape it would take.. , just getting the idea of it before cutting steel plates, I finished off the sides today and laced them to the front piece. Tomorrow I will fix up the bottom belly plate to be shorter, and do the shoulder pieces then look at the rivits maybe and covering material.
