25.01.2022 As we move into the final stages of our preseason and coaches take over training we would like to thank everyone that has been involved in getting us to this stage. Our players have had some excellent coaching and guidance over the past weeks from our selection panel Amy, Amanda, Beth and Kim. Together these ladies bring a wealth of knowledge and experience and our players have been very privileged to have had this group of people work with them. We would like to say a specia...l thank you to Kim for coordinating the whole preseason to ensure everyone knew their role and each session ran smoothly and to Emma and Sharon who checked players in each week and made sure that our team lists where correct when placing them on court. To our coaches that have been out and about on court as an extra pair of hands, your assistance has been invaluable and we hope that the preseason has prepared your players for you to now take on the task of preparing them for round one. Thank you to our umpires that have been out over the last few weeks as we moved into putting players on court and to Paula for coordinating them. We also thank anyone else that has helped set up courts or assist in any other way, your contribution is very much appreciated. Preseason is a massive task but with so much help it has made our job extremely easy. 23.01.2022 For all our budding netball stars who would like to participate in a netball clinic this school holidays . . . There is a netball camp at Westminster School Marion from 22-24 April. It will provide three days coaching from 9am to 3pm daily for players of all standards aged 6 to 16 from an experienced coaching panel with the special guest coach to be Kate Shimmin.... We look forward to seeing you all for the 2021 season. Registration will be opened mid January with the preseason kicking off early February. ... 20.01.2022 The Strathalbyn Netball Club management is closely monitoring the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation that is rapidly evolving. We understand the importance of exercise and participation in sport but the health and well being of our members and that of the broader community is paramount and must form the basis of any decisions we make. Therefore in light of there being no clear guidelines from Netball Australia, Netball SA or GSNA, we have reviewed the current advice in relation... to the risks associated with COVID-19 and decided to demonstrate caution and cancel all trainings indefinitely. We are acting on the best health advice available at this time and will continue to monitor the situation and act on advice. 12.01.2022 Dear Members please be advised that GSNA have a meeting with club delegates tonight after which time the club will make an official statement to members in relation to the implications of the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation.

11.01.2022 We may not be out on court game day but we are still committed to netball and have been working towards ensuring our juniors are refining their basic skills with specialised training on Tuesday nights and our coaches have been developing their skills and knowledge through completing their Foundation and Development Coach accreditation. Today we hosted a Development Coach Face to Face course and had 7 of our coaches attain their Development Coach accreditation. Congratulations... to Sarah, Maisie, Holly, Nicole, Yup, Kim and Matilda from Strahalbyn and Melanie from Bridgewater on attaining the accreditation today. Thank you to Trish from Netball SA for presenting the course and working with the coaches today. Thank you to our athletes Alyssa, Chloe, Rylee, Lily, Keeley, Grace, Rachael, Nikki, Lisa, Carol, Leah, Leanne and Deb (yes a couple stepped out of retirement to be there today) that came out for our coaches to put their knowledge into practice. Your time was greatly appreciated by both the coaches and the club. A very special thanks to Beth who organised the course today and spent tireless hours assisting our coaches with their online Foundation accreditation and the online component of the Development course. Her passion for developing our coaches is contagious and we greatly appreciate her dedication and commitment to not only getting them accredited but also ensuring they will continue to grow and develop as coaches.

11.01.2022 To all GSNA members, players, parents and officials, Important COVID-19 update GSNA have been advised a League player within our Association has tested positive... to COVID-19 (coronavirus) and that the remainder of this team are awaiting their individual test results and following medical advice regarding isolation. In light of this information which was received after our meeting last night, we would recommend that all clubs cancel all netball-related activities until further notice. This includes all training and games and will include our GSNA Representative Teams. As previously advised, we are awaiting more information and direction from Netball SA and this will be provided to you as soon as possible. We understand that this is a rapidly changing and evolving situation and just as we know our affiliated clubs do, at GSNA we want to ensure the safety and health of all our players, officials, volunteers, family, friends and the wider netball community. You dont need to be a current SNC player but experience in netball & drills is desired.... When: 10.00 am - 1.00 pm Date: Sunday August 2nd Where: SNC Courts Lunch will be provided at conclusion If you are free and can volunteer your time for a few hours; Beth, the coaches who are completing their exam and the club would be extremely appreciative; having our coaches make this commitment to complete these courses is a massive bonus to help develop all the players in our club.
