24.01.2022 Strathallan Golf Club has made the decision to postpone the Open Day Bushfire Fundraiser originally set for this Saturday 21st March. We intend to hold this event mid November and will be in touch before then. Hopefully all will be back to normal by then. The raffles, donation tin and skittles fundraiser will continue until Easter, just drop in or see me if you want to buy a ticket or donate. Can you please share this. Sad and weird times, stay safe all my friends.

24.01.2022 Strathallan Golf Course is closed until further notice. This is a directive by the Victorian Department of Health & Human Services. We seek the cooperation of members of the Club and the Public to adhere to the decision to close the golf course and the practice area. Under no circumstances should golf related activities be undertaken on the golf course or practice area. The golf course area is still open to the community (conditional on practising social distancing as require...d) for passive recreation, such as people walking their dog(s) or just out for a stroll. 24.01.2022 Strathallan Golf Club has reopened the course for Members and Green Fee players from May 13th 2020. Under hygiene and social distancing directives. Hand sanitisers are available at the office. We encourage all players to call the Club to book a tee time. Although we take cash, we would prefer EFTPOS tap and go. At this stage the Clubhouse is closed. Non alcoholic refreshments and snacks are available from the office or Pro Shop. No alcohol can be purchased at this stage. Fro...m the Committee of Management. 19.01.2022 Today, 12th April 2020, The Premier (Daniel Andrews) has announced the extension of the current "State of Emergency" in Victoria until Monday 11th May 2020. Committee of Management Update - 7th April, 2020 Re: The current health and economic crisis ... Dear Club & Community Members, I am writing to you on behalf of the Committee of Management (CoM) of Strathallan Golf Club (Golf Club). We are all in unchartered waters with the current global Coronavirus crisis. Our first priority is for all Members and their families to remain safe and healthy throughout this unprecedented time. Both at the Federal and State Government level, regular information updates and Directives have, and will continue to be announced. We strongly advise all to keep themselves informed of the current situation and fully adhere to the Directives as announced by either the Federal or Victorian State Government. At this time, the State of Victoria is under Stage 3 Restrictions with Stage 4 likely to be implemented in the coming weeks. It is clear, as mentioned by the Prime Minister with reference to the Coronavirus crisis, that the restrictions to our normal way of life will (to a varying degree) be in place for several months. Currently, as required by the relevant Victorian Government Directives, Strathallan Golf Club has been completely closed down. This has placed enormous financial pressure on the Club and the adverse implications this may have on the long-term financial viability of Strathallan Golf Club Inc. The CoM has undertaken a full review of our financial position should the complete closure of the Golf Club (Clubhouse & golf course) continue for several months. Our primary objective is to ensure that the Club will be in a strong financial position to re-commence normal operations when the crisis is over. We are confident that this objective is achievable and will be achieved. However, this to a significant degree is dependent on Members and the Community (Green Fee Players/Social Group) fully supporting the Club during this period, as we emerge from and subsequent to the Coronavirus crisis. 17.01.2022 Coronavirus Update During the PMs Press Conference held on Friday 1st May 20, the Prime Minister foreshadowed the announcement next week of some easing of the current COVID-19 restrictions. The PM referred to a couple of documents that detail a three phase/level (A, B & C) process of re-commencing community/sporting activities. In both documents Golf is mentioned as occurring during Phase/Level B. The Club will provide more details when announced by the Victorian Government, including the timing and the conditions of play, as required to enable the re-opening of the Strathallan golf course. 16.01.2022 The Strathallan Golf Club Inc. Committee of Management were really hoping to give you some good news today regarding the reopening of the Course. Unfortunately, this is not to be. Under the extension of existing restrictions and the Government road map out, we will remain closed until late October. We are now planning to reopen the week of 26th October, depending on possible further restrictions. We will keep you updated with this. Some good news, Our Curator, staff and Grounds Manager are continuing to work through this shutdown to keep our Course in excellent condition. Our fairways mower has been purchased and has arrived. The reports are it is working extremely well. See photos below. Once again thanks to all Members and friends who so generously donated cash and winning golf balls to assist us with this purchase.

13.01.2022 Membership Offer: We are pleased to offer all new Members joining before the end of October 2020, pay full category membership plus an extra $25.00. This takes them to the end of 2021 financial year.

12.01.2022 Whilst the golf club is closed it doesnt necessarily mean that there is no activity happening around the course. It appears there have been some locals visiting the car park. While the cats away the mice will play only in this case its the kangaroos. Definitely taking advantage of no humans playing golf.

08.01.2022 Latest Update re: Strathallan-reopening the course and clubhouse - 10th May, 2020 In line with the Federal Governments recent announcement of a 3 Stage strategy to reopen the community/economy. Some States have already made the move to Stage 1.... NSW has announced the move with a commencement date of Friday 15 May 2020. The Victorian Premier is anticipated to make an announcement on Monday 11 May 2020, that Victoria will move to Stage 1. 07.01.2022 It is of significant importance to the Club that all members/green fee players support this Petition. Copies are in the Clubhouse, if you can, please take a page away with you, and obtain as many signatures as possible. This is not just for Darebin rate payers, but for all who wish our Golf Course/Open space to remain as it is. Just drop off the completed petition pages to the office. The CoM encourage you to sign and get as many additional signatures for the Petition lodged with the Club by Wednesday 24 June 2020.

07.01.2022 Please note, Strathallan Golf Course is closed until tomorrow morning, Saturday 7th March. This is due to the extreme rain we experienced yesterday. The CHICKEN RUN is therefore CANCELLED for today Friday 6th March and will resume next Friday 13th March.

07.01.2022 Updated Saturday 17th October. Strathallan Golf Course is currently closed under Government directives. However, we are hopeful that the Premier's announcement tomorrow will give the "green light" to open golf courses. If this is so, we will open as soon as we can. Please see Notices for more details. 06.01.2022 Even though the Golf Club has been completely closed down, there is still work and maintenance being done around the course. In the photo you can see the 4th Green after it was Verti Drained and top dressed, prior to spreading the sand into the Green.

03.01.2022 Bushfire Fundraiser Raffles As you are aware we have postponed our Bushfire Fundraiser Open Day, but kept the raffles and guess the skittles going until we were directed to close the course. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of our Members and green fee players, we have raised over $1700.00 to aid Mallacoota Golf Club in their efforts to rebuild their fire damaged course. Thank you to all who contributed. It gives me great pleasure to announce the winners of the raffle.... 3rd prize, a dozen golf balls, Greg Roach. 2nd prize, 2 bottles of red wine, Rob Harris. 1st prize, Drummonds Big Swing Golf, 2 hour virtual golf game, George Adams. There were 1857 skittles in the jar. Closest guess is Shirley McColl, who guessed 1871, narrowly beating our own numbers cruncher, Basil Riordan who guessed 1875! Congratulation to all winners, you will be notified.
