22.01.2022 Reposting from our friends at YMCA Victoria ... Life in lockdown has meant that we’ve all had to adapt and look for new things to keep us connected and entertained - some of us joined the banana bread bandwagon, while others flocked to Tik Tok! Whatever got you through, we want to have a chat about what would make lockdown easier this time around. On Wednesday 22 July, we’re hosting a free youth forum for all young Victorians aged 12 to 25. It’ll be a chance for you to share... what’s getting you through lockdown 2.0, while also going into the draw to win some awesome prizes! Join us next Wednesday 22 July at 4:30pm. Register below. https://us02web.zoom.us//register/WN_0uYFuqWJSjuDKDIudvuZYw

01.01.2022 Want to make change happen in our community? Then please consider running for Council! People, young and old, thinking about standing for Council in the October 2020 election will now need to attend a mandatory training session. The training is a new requirement of the Local Government Act 2020 and will be offered free of charge in Strathbogie Shire and delivered in Nagambie and Euroa. Strathbogie Shire Council Mayor Cr Amanda McClaren encouraged anyone thinking of running to... sign up. The workshops are designed to increase understanding of the role of a Councillor, key governance requirements and key provisions of the new Act. Even if you are only considering running for Local Government elections, come along and gain the understanding of what is required of a Councillor and ask questions. With Election Day being Saturday, October 24 the mandatory candidate training will be held: Nagambie: Saturday, August 1, 2020 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at Nagambie Regatta Centre, 66 Loddings Lane, Nagambie. Euroa: Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 6pm to 9 pm at Strathbogie Council Conference Centre, Bury Street, Euroa. https://www.strathbogie.vic.gov.au//1659-thinking-of-runni
