22.01.2022 Next up with our profile series, social member and self proclaimed barefoot bowls gun Name: Stuart Powney Years of Friday night barefoot bowls: Kookas Barefoot Bowls Champion since 2014... What tastes better on a Friday night in the summer; sausage sizzle or steak sandwich? I can never decide which is better: the sausage sizzle or the steak sanga... so I always have both. Teammate most likely to join the Kookas pennant team? I reckon the best player on our team is my son, Rhys. (Sorry Darren, Darren & Scotty! What would I be trying to do if my skipper tells me to.....put it in the ditch? I don’t think anyone in our team ever listens to the skipper! What song gets you in the mood for barefoot bowls? Most of the songs by DJ Moyle to get the bowlo party started First holiday destination after iso? Can’t wait to get to the beaches up north when the boarders open.

21.01.2022 Hi Bowls Members and Friends...... I hope you are all well. If would you like a quality face mask in Kookas colours, please read the information below. Stay safe everyone Hi All, ... Kevin Probert here, I have face masks available in our fave colour and the word kookas on the side. The cost is $22 delivered to your door (local). Contactless delivery and individually wrapped. I need to have a minimum order of 50. These masks will be ordered at 5pm on Wednesday 05 August. Please follow the steps below and reply with your order to [email protected] to finalise your order. If you are unable to use online banking please contact Kevin to arrange an alternate payment method. If you have any questions you can call Kevin on 0419 899 545. You can order as many as you like so buy them for your family and friends. The order will take approx 12 days. After the order date 05/08/20 we will continue to take orders, however we have to order in 50 mask lots and it will take a further 12 days from that time so there may be a delay or no order pending the numbers. Specifications of the mask: Four layer construction, the internal layer is medical grade cotton which is coated with silver ions which make it antimicrobial so this prevents odour build up. The internal layer has an enclosure where the activated carbon filter can be placed these provide added protection but most people choose not to use these. The carbon filters need to be replaced every 3-5 days and cost approx. 50 cents each. As mentioned these are not needed, just an extra layer. The external layer is engineered polyester interlock fabric which is soft to the touch and has a good hand feel and comfortable to wear. They have adjustable ear straps. 04.01.2022 "In Memory of Jim Sonego" Club Members will notice the recent addition of a very impressive seat on the south side of our B Green. This seat has been provided by Monica Sonego in memory of her late husband Jim Sonego who sadly passed away just over 12 months ago. Jim was a great friend to many at our club and served as President, player and coach . The chair was carefully selected to represent Jim's nature. Strong, reliable and resilient. We miss him greatly. Many thanks to Monica for this generous donation and to Todd Matthews (Transport) and Jim McGregor (Installation) for their assistance. Take a seat one day to consider your next bowl. "Alright"
