22.01.2022 CMA Drought Employment Program works at Strathfieldsaye Estate. Some very talented and dedicated workers on the Gippsland Catchment Management Authorities Drought Employment Program are working at Strathfieldsaye on the historic garden. They are tackling the momentous task of restoring the garden infrastructure of the Ellis Sones' design in the mid-1940s. Stone and his mentor, Edna Walling, are credited with major accomplishments in landscape design in Victoria and Australia.

13.01.2022 You are aware of our involvement in Australian Landscape Trust and we are most concerned what is happening in relation to our Calperum & Taylorville properties. The NSW and SA Government are proposing to erect a new 100+ kilometre long high voltage powerline with 12kms of it cutting through Calperum & Taylorville Stations, even though these properties which are protected by The Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (the EPBC Act) The area is also known to provide important habitat for EPBC-listed threatened species including the endangered Black Eared Miner, Red-Lored Whistler, Regent Parrot and the declining Mallee Striated Grasswren. It is also the habitat for a number of other species at risk including some that are newly discovered. Please support our efforts by clicking the link below.
