25.01.2022 Tomorrow the ladies should/might/might not be playing for the Betty Ryan trophy - an 18 hole competition. We are awaiting information from Golf Australia re competition golf. Social golf is still allowed, playing in groups of 2 only, so golf will happen tomorrow in some form. All players must wear a mask unless they hold an exemption.

19.01.2022 A very different golfing year with little opportunity to play competitions & for our annual trophies, but on September 25th, we were able to take to the course to vie for the Kathy Ryan trophy. Congratulations to Christine Shannon who was triumphant with 33 stableford points, from runner up Yvonne Cleary on 29 points. Christine Shannon also took out the nearest-the-pin award.

18.01.2022 Restrictions are easing from midnight tonight! Golf Australia advises we can now return to competitions, and play in groups of up to 4. Masks must still be worn.

14.01.2022 This Sunday 4th Oct will be our final official round 18 holes stableford last chance for captains trophy points! We will also acknowledge the winners of events played this year after the round We will continue playing Sunday rounds for a bit of fun untill the course gets too hairy... Unfortunately we have to let it go to seed but that will hopefully mean green golf next year! See you all Sunday at 1030am We will EVERY ONE IS REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK WHEN ON THE GOLF COURSE NO EXCEPTIONS (unless you have an exemption)

13.01.2022 The border closures are once more bringing enquiries to play our course. We love to welcome new players but please note this is a Winter-only course - only open from April until October. 13.01.2022 Official notice from Golf Australia. No more competition golf allowed under Stage 3. Social golf only permitted. Regional Victoria (Stage 3 restrictions): Golf Operations... Based on advice published on the DHHS website and verbal advice received from the Victorian Government, Golf Australia advises the following: Groups will be limited to two people unless they all reside in the same household. For the avoidance of doubt, groups of three or four will only be allowed if all members of the group reside in the same household. Club competitions must not be conducted, but handicapping of scores through non-contact means is allowed. GA has engaged in depth on this topic with the Victorian Government as competition golf is a key aspect of club/facility life across the state. It was confirmed to GA that competition golf is unable to be conducted under Stage 3 restriction. Club/facility driving ranges, putting greens and chipping areas cannot operate unless a distance of at least 100 metres between groups of 2 can be maintained. No hire equipment, including golf clubs, pull buggies, golf carts or range balls may be made available for hire under any circumstances. Exception: Golf carts may be hired to a person who has a disability, or who is over the age of 65, or who can demonstrate that they require one due to having special needs. (Note: players are permitted to bring and use their own cart, however the one person per cart limit applies.) A one person per cart limit, unless both riders live in the same household and both meet the criteria as listed above. Clubs/facilities are required to thoroughly clean the carts before and after each use. 1 to 1 coaching can continue in a non-contact, socially distanced setting Indoor coaching is not permitted If you are not doing exercise or a physical activity where you are out of breath or puffing then you must wear a face covering. You must carry a face covering with you and wear it before and after you exercise. Clubhouse Operations Clubhouses must close for food and beverage service. Clubs & facilities may trade for takeaway service provided they can meet all physical distancing conditions in doing so. Golf Service Centres/Pro Shops must limit the number of people within the facility to comply with the requirement for patrons to keep a minimum of 1.5 metres apart. The club house Will be open for the use of amenities and take away refreshments on sunday ussual times To be handicapped out side ussual times please take a photo of your card and send to 0422967272... Reminder you must be wearing a mask while on the golf course While eating drinking and smoking mask is not required but must be on your person, do with this info as you like

10.01.2022 A reminder that this Thursday 22nd we will be cleaning the clubhouse prior to handing over to the tennis club. 9 - 9.30 am start. Bring your 'favorite' cleaning items! Good chance that coffee & cake at Cafe3641 will follow.

10.01.2022 How fabulous to see a return to competition golf yesterday! A stroke/putting/NTP comp was held with Jen Hay triumphant with 78 nett and Kerry Murray just behind with 79 nett in the 18-hole comp. Jen Hay also took out the putting with 31. The 9-hole comp was won by Kay Morgan on 32 nett, from Shirley Moon on 39 nett (on countback). Shirley Moon also took out the putting. Kay Morgan was NTP on the second. Next Thursday will be Stableford & NTP. The 18-hole players will compete for the 'Kathy Ryan Trophy'.

10.01.2022 We all would like to thank those who have been playing golf and getting active! Particularly those who have paid their green fees, this money goes towards fuel for the mowers and club house hire and all the other bits and bobs As we are voluntary every bit helps and our memberships bearly cover fees so thank you to the volunteers who have been busy with all the sun rain and then grass which has been lacking in previous years ... Any one looking for a game this week new golfers or old hackers we'll take you all Assembly at 1030 sunday for 11 tee off Beers are cold pies are warm people are friendly This weekends comp is a fun day a '3 club' day pick you favorite 3 and come on down Can't wait to see what everyone picks!
