21.01.2022 Matches for the Stratford Bowls Club Championships for this season are almost complete. June Richardson won the Ladies Singles, and Ian Johns won the Mens Singles and in the Men’s Pairs Ian Tait and Dennis Young are the champions. In the Ladies Pairs, Joy Nowak and June Richardson were the winners. In the winning Ladies Triples Marilyn DeHaas skippered the team with Joy Nowak as second and Ruth Beechey as lead. ... The Men’s Fours competition had some very close games along the way, and the final continued that theme with the victors winning by 2 shots. The winning combination (pictured left to right) was John Richardson Dick Savage, Alan Boyd and skipper Ray Potter The one remaining match to determine the winners of the Ladies Fours will be played in January. 20.01.2022 A great Day once again at our annual Melbourne Cup Bowls day Congratulations to all of the organisers, the ladies in the kitchen and and the afternoon tea providers. We again had long time sponsor Barry Lett with us he not only sponsors our club but always joins in and plays. 12.01.2022 BOWLS ARTICLE JANUARY 2019 Town Crier In the last Town Crier we were able to pass on the news that June Richardson is our Ladies Club Champion for this season. Individual Club Champions progress to play for the title of North Gippsland Champion of Champions. During January June won all 3 of her matches to win that title. If she wins her match against the Champion from East Gippsland in February, she will represent the Gippsland Zone at the State Titles in Bendigo in April. It... is a major achievement for June who only started in the sport 3 years ago. She joined the Bowls Club at the same time as Joy Nowak. In their earlier years they had played thousands of hours together on the tennis and netball courts Now they have teamed together to become the Champion Ladies Pairs bowlers for the season. They have a number of matches ahead of them to qualify as North Gippsland Champions, so we wish them well. Joy is on the left in the bowls photo, and I think you will recognise them in the other pics. This continues a bit of a family theme with June’s mother, Marj Roadley and Joy’s mother Mavis Farrell winners of the Ladies Champion events at the Club. Mavis also won the North Gippsland singles title on 5 separate occasions. See more

05.01.2022 Once again Stratford Ladies have held a very successful Gala Day. Full rinks, magnificent cent table and raffles all donated by our members. Beautiful afternoon tea also supplied by our Ladies. On behalf of Lady President Kerry, who is currently on a relaxing cruise, many thanks to Rita and her match committee for running a very organised event. Vice President Lyn for standing in for her today. Raffle sellers, kitchen helpers, Ray for his assistance, the Green's Committee for setting up for the day thank you all. Special thanks for Flying Colours for their sponsorship of the event, it is very much appreciated. To everyone who entered our event we hope you had a great day of companionship on our green. We look forward to putting on Gala Day again in 2019.

05.01.2022 Congratulations to Stratford Ladies who won Division 1 today against Heyfield. Won two rinks and the third fought back hard and we managed to win by two shots overall. Everyone always tries their hardest to put shots in the head on the day, it is not easy to hold on to them as we all know. An excellent effort by everybody.
