21.01.2022 Last week our youngest children received a fantastic opportunity to participate in a musical class from Kundermusic by Mrs. Jude. Ladybugs participated enthusiastically in all sort of games, songs and rhymes, proving that musical activities make communication fun. Adding music to words aids memory and can assist in your child’s early language development. Babies quickly learn to recognise rhymes and enjoy being able to join in.... We are looking forward for more musical sessions with Mrs. Jude in August and would be happy to share with the families all our happy achievements.

19.01.2022 The Easter Hat Parade traditionally hosted by Strawberry Fields Cottage in April every year, as well as Easter Raffles! Traditions such as these signify the wonderful growth and accomplishments of the family of Strawberry Fields Cottage, a family which consists of children, parents, educators and our community. Children were working excitedly on their hats at school and at home with families. We were also amazed with creativity of mums, dads, grandparents - who came to celebrate Easter with the children and to participate in the parade. 20 prizes were drawn this year for the participants of the Raffle amongst the main prizes there were movie tickets and Woolies vouchers, chocolates, souvenirs and the main prize ONE FREE DAY of care!

15.01.2022 This month we continued to introduce our Ladybugs room to the enchanting world of music. The wonderful sessions with Jude focus on musical concepts such as tempo (fast/slow), dynamics (loud/quiet), steady beat, specific rhythms and contrasts in movement. Children and staff absolutely fell in love with activities which included instrument play, singing, dancing, action songs, finger plays, focused listening, pretend play and so much more. Furthermore, the families are able to ...participate directly in children’s musical development via a home package with all activities included. Never before the amazing world of music was so open for our Ladybug babies!

13.01.2022 Welcome to Strawberry Fields Cottage 2020! On our return to school last week, we found that the garden was waiting for love and care from little gardeners. Children from all rooms loved spending time in the garden watering vegetables, examining herbs, and checking on the harvest. To the great delight of children and their educators there were lots of veggies, giant zucchinis, capsicums, beans enough to cook yummy food for the whole center! Since then we have had fresh vege...table snacks from our garden every day! Everyone agreed that veggie sticks from your own garden are much sweeter and juicier! What a fantastic experience in healthy food!

11.01.2022 In light of the serious situation with Coronavirus, the management of Strawberry Fields Cottage are undertaking actions to prevent the possible spread of the CO...VID-19 virus and keep the Centre an infection-free zone. We are very thankful to all our families and parents who have responded very well to the Centre’s precautions and formed an integral part of our risk management plan implementation to help us do the maximum to prevent the virus. We have established several sanitising stations with hand disinfectant provided, and have signposted clear visual information on the new procedures. Families strongly supported the decision that the entry to the Centre will be limited to parents only. There is no access to families to the play area and children are only to be taken to the rooms by educators. We hope that everyone continues to stay calm, show vigilance and organisation to help our community stay safe in this difficult time.

09.01.2022 We were incredibly humbled last week by an extraordinary generous donation provided to us from an anonymous member of the community. We have constantly striven to maintain a close connection to our local community and were therefore deeply moved, as this donation served as a recognition of the contributions of our educators to the children under our care and their families. We are truly touched by this heartwarming gesture and will continue to develop the centre to service th...e community in the best way we can. We have distributed some of the donation to the staff, upgraded our Preschool computers, and started to work on upgrading our outdoor play facilities! Strawberry Fields Cottage staff and children would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the thoughtful and generous support!

08.01.2022 Just have a look at our wonderful class of 2019! Our annual Graduation Ceremony was a resounding success, full of emotions and happy tears. It was easy to see how much the children have learnt and achieved throughout the years. But most importantly, how to make friends, help each other and love their families. Our preschoolers are grown up now and ready to step into the new discoveries and achievements waiting for them in the big school.... The SFC teachers are so very proud of the Butterfly graduates class of 2019 and wish them and their families our warmest wishes as they begin their next exciting chapter!

06.01.2022 We strongly believe that tight connections between family’s generations are important for grandparents as much as they are for young children. It was a pleasure to see a fantastic turn out of Nanna’s and Poppy’s at Strawberry Fields Cottage on Grandparents Day last week. The smiles from little and big people lighted up the day. Our guests were participating in all children’s activities and enjoyed them as much as their little loved ones. Working with challenging new materials and textures, sharing favorite experiences, telling stories about our everyday life there were many highlights on the day! One thing we all know for sure is that the door is always are open at Strawberry Fields Cottage for the very important people in children’s life!

06.01.2022 Fresh Food Discovery Tour Our Children from the Butterfly room are consistently developing skills which will help them in their future. The Fresh Food Discovery Tour at Woolworths was one of the exciting opportunities to practice school readiness, learn how delicious and healthy eating fruit and vegies can be and get to know what we can do better to help our environment. Our Butterfly children have all demonstrated a high level of understanding their responsibilities during the excursion they listened, followed instructions, looked after each other and had a great time learning new stuff! Good things are happening at Strawberry Fields Cottage Preschool!

When there is a global health crisis happening, The Strawberry Fields Cottage Team continued to operate through the COVID-19 situation, providing safe and loving environment for the children of essential workers, working hard to create amazing experiences for the children. 02.01.2022 While Ladybugs enjoyed the sounds of music with KinderMuzic, Butterfly children were extremely busy with getting their skills ready for school! Everyday School Readiness program helps our Butterflies to develop curiosity, confidence, self-esteem and willingness to learn more about the world around them. Children loved the big book story time, where everyone can participate in reading. Afterwards, they practiced to write their very first word. Children were ecstatic to hear the teacher read aloud the word which they have written on their own. They are happily counting days to the start of the big school, because they as they know that they will be ready for it!

01.01.2022 Strawberry Fields Preschoolers are aware of the bush fire danger spreading across the Australian forest! They were talking about visiting the Walkabout Wildlife park for many weeks, worried about zoo’s little inhabitants. Today we had an amazing day at the park and made sure that all the animals are safe and happy. Butterfly children had a unique opportunity to get a connection with Australian animals and gather a lot of interesting information about their life in wild forest.... They also learnt how to be respectful to nature and what can each child do to make sure the animals have clean, safe and protected home environment! Well done Butteflies!
