I love it because the variety in colours, textures, and grain patterns make for robust and attractive furniture pieces. Go soft - Softwoods have special attributes as well. The versatility, pliability, and attractive grain patterns create beautiful accent pieces and furnishings. Wood is one of the most valuable and abundant organic materials used in various industries and flat out is my jam!

06.01.2022 Messmate is an Australian hardwood that grows locally here along the coast in southern Victoria and also in Tassie and a few other spots around Oz. We work with Messmate a lot. Seriously! This versatile, straight grain timber varies in colour from light browns, to golds and peach, and it can be used in a multitude of ways - including tables, bench tops, cupboards, cabinetry and doors - we’ve made them all.

04.01.2022 How special is this? This off-cut seemed like it might work for a dining table, cutting it in half revealed a close to perfect mirror image. My work here was done - leaving the live edges seemed the perfect way to finish it off.
