23.01.2022 Another little PB at Saturdays race meeting here in Perth came from Jarreds awesome VL Commodore, yet again! The little SBE just keeps on giving! It may only be a small PB but its still a step in the right direction on its way to a 7.7x! Not only that but it would had to of been one of the best side by side races all day, running next to George's VK on a 7.78 pass. With the RT difference the split at the traps came down to just .002 seconds difference! 22.01.2022 It's been awhile since we've had a play with Tye's VX GTS. We recently had it back in to upgrade the previous Plazmaman front mount intercooler to one of their new 5.5" cores along with new pipework with Plazmaclamps all round by Lundy Race Fab! We also changed to a remote engine oil filter with oil cooler and fitted a set of Holley EFI fuel rails and fresh Bosch 1650cc injectors thanks to MTQ Engine Systems Brisbane! For those that arent familiar with the car it runs a stan...dard LSA alloy block and LSA crank with ARP main studs, Compstar 6.125" rods and Wiseco 4.070" pistons giving 9.7:1 comp. Heads are Higgins Race Heads CNC ported factory LSA heads with PAC springs and an off the shelf turbo cam from Full Proof Performance, topped by a factory LS3 intake manifold and 95mm Holley T/B. Manifolds are from Darcy at KillaBoost Manifolds with a Gen2 GTX55 91mm with 1.15a/r housing. Fuel system is an Aftermarket Industries pump hanger unit with 3 x Walbro 460's, Speedflow Australia -10 Teflon feed with Bosch 1650cc injectors with engine management by none other than Holley EFI using a Dominator ECU and Racepak display dash. The combo is backed by a TCE Torque Converter Engineering 10-1/4" convertor and a Paul Rogers Performance Transmissions standard case T400 back to the factory IRS rear. Previously we had made 1290rwhp with no exhaust and 1215rwhp through the full system. Now with the new upgrades its making even more power through the full exhaust and pulling all the way through to 7300rpm. 21.01.2022 Darrens VL Commodore all finished up with its new Holley EFI combo, just in time for Motorvation! Huge thanks to Lurch's Custom Fabrications for putting in a few big days over the last week knocking up the water and breather tanks, cutting the bonnet, modifying the exhaust aswell as a heap of other small jobs to make it all happen! With the car already running a Holley EFI HP system controlling ignition and all datalogging etc with the previous carb/methanol LS1 combo it was ...an easy task on that front to add a 16 injector harness and modify the TPS wiring to go full EFI. Now running the cathedral headed, iron block 403ci LS deal out of his VH we swapped out the turbo camshaft for a blower friendly grind and finished it all up with a Plazmaman Billet Intake manifold and a heap of Joe Blo Speed Shop goodies including his billet crank support timing cover, 9 injector EFI plate, progressive linkage BAU hat and his TPS block to suit. Transmission was swapped out for an LSX Powertrain prepped Powerglide with a TCE 10-1/4" convertor and the rear end now packs a Final Drive Engineering sheetmetal 9" housing with 35spline axles and a 3.0 strange full spooled centre. The 9" swap from the previous Borg Warner setup was carried out by Lauren at Black Magic Race Cars which included the swap to a basic 4-link setup retaining the previous rails and panhard bar but included mounting a set of Strange Shocks and tidying up a small piece of tin work in the boot. With the driveline all sorted we finished it all off by re-plumbing the whole car including a complete new fuel system in Speedflow Australia 200 series with a Magnaflow Pro Star 750 pump and Aeromotive reg mounted up back and both a set of 1250cc injectors and 500cc injectors fitted up front. A last minute rush last night after a failed TPS issue it was onto the Hub Dyno for luckily just a handful of power runs finishing up with a conservative tune to see him through Motorvation. A nice 60rwhp+ gain 500rpm earlier after a few nice little off season upgrades to the F2 Procharged 347ci SBC combo! 19.01.2022 Huge congrats to Matt from Pro Flow Injector Servicing for reaching that goal of an 8sec pass in his VS Ute streeter! As always Matt drove to the track loaded up with his gear, unload everything, jack it up and change wheels, hook up the chute, scrutineer the car and race all day then repeat all of that in reverse and drive home! Thats just damn cool! 19.01.2022 Ollie from @OBMotorsports sent us his E46 BMW Drift Car for a full tune with Holley EFI TerminatorX! Assembled in his shed at home it runs a $300 stock bottom end LS1 with a small turbo camshaft and dual springs to match, backed by a T56 and the stock BMW rear end. Manifolds are Flowtech 4-1's with custom pipework by OBM into a single 80mm Borg Warner SX-E with a Turbosmart 60mm wastegate and china 600x300x76 cooler.... 14.01.2022 Daniel's VL Commodore on the hub dyno today for a full N/A and Nitrous tune its Holley EFI TerminatorX system. Fresh out of Grgich Performance, Paul and Mladen done an awesome job of the EFI and Nitrous conversion. Nothing but clean and top quality cars come out of there! The combo is a basic stock bottom end LS1 with a camshaft and Super Victor inlet with a Wilson 1000cfm throttle body.... Backed by a T400 and 3.7:1 nine inch! Headers are Pacemaker 1-3/4" Tri-y's with just a single 3" exhaust! 13.01.2022 We spent the day on Saturday getting a handle on the new 10-1/4" convertor in Jarreds VL on a 28" tyre. Moving up from the 9-1/2" and 26" tyre we knew it was going to be somewhat of a battle especially on the tricky tracks we are handed here in Perth, particularly during the heat of the day and how aggressive this change in convertor can be. With the tune up on the hit still softened to suit the track we managed to just dip it back into the 1.2's in the sixty with a 1.29 and ...after a string of 8.1's and 8.0's we finished the night just .03 off the previous 7.98 PB with an 8.01@175mph! However thats 6mph up from the previous MPH PB still on 31psi boost! The little SBE 6.2L/single 88mm combo just keeps on giving! Huge thanks to Mik Waters Fabrication for the killa fab work on the rear end aswell Lundy from Lundy Race Fab keeping on top of the chassis tune up all day! 10.01.2022 Matt's LS1 GU Patrol came in to finish off his Holley EFI conversion after having Dom @ Audio Image remove the previous aftermarket ECU system and fit Matts supplied TerminatorX kit. From there we went through and rectified a few small issues with the setup along with some minor fuel system mods including fitting up his freshly serviced set of LS1 injectors from Pro Flow Injector Servicing. 07.01.2022 We spent the day on Tuesday doing some remote tuning for our good friends over in Victoria. First up was Drewy's killa 'Crusty' Torana! Packing its new 400ci @Dandy Engines LS combo topped with Higgins Race Heads LS3 port heads and a fresh pair of Garrett G42 Compacts, it was as angry as ever+... As we started to head towards boost pressures around 40psi we found the limits of the current fuel system so boost was capped at 41psi for the day yet still showing strong potential to nudge that 2000rwhp mark in the not too distant future with a few tweaks to the setup! 1865rwhp@7800rpm on 41psi and Methanol! 04.01.2022 Mat from Pro Flow Injector Servicing asked us to checkover his VS Ute on the hub dyno before the new season kicks off. Having made 1015rwhp previously with the T56, since converted to an auto with a Paul Rogers Performance Transmissions standard case powerglide and TCE Torque Converter Engineering convertor, it had never been ran up again. Quick refresh on the combo....... Its a stock bottom end 6.2L LS3, small VCM Performance camshaft with Manley dual springs and stainless valves inside the standard port LS3 heads along with a stock LS3 intake manifold. Turbo setup is a set of custom made manifolds upto a Gen1 GTX45 with Tial Vband rear housing and a single 45mm Turbosmart wastegate all back through a 4" dump and full 4" exhaust to the bumper. Plazmaman a2a cooler up front with 3" aluminium cooler piping. 04.01.2022 George's VK back on the dyno today for a little turn-me-up after he had Wayne from Performance Carb Tuning carry out a little off season freshen up which turned into a rework of the whole twin turbo setups plumbing thanks to Lurch's Custom Fabrications! The same stock alloy L98 block remains, along with the same stock LSA crankshaft, Molnar rods and Wiseco 4.005" pistons, though this time the block is grout filled to the bottom water pump ports. The unported 5364 L98 heads g...ot a freshen up and the same Full Proof Performance hyd roller camshaft was put back to work along with the old trusty factory LS3 intake manifold! The Precision 6266's we retained for another go at it though they are now mounted down behind the bumper with Flowtech headers and custom hot pipes by LCF along with new 3.5" dump pipes now exiting behind the tyre. Lurch's work didnt start and finish there, the engine and transmission were also shifted back nearly 3 inches and custom mounts made to suit aswell as all new alloy intercooler pipework to and from the same Shearer Fabrications A2A intercooler which is now also shifted back so a new front bumper can be fitted. With the Holley ECU on this now upgraded from a HP (yes it ran 7.71@179mph on an HP) to a Dominator a second wideband o2 has been added along with some pre-cooler sensors and the headers have also been setup for EGT's. Onto the dyno today to run it in and turn it up we were happy to see it hit the 1300rwhp mark on only 1 more pound of boost to its previous 1215rwhp. 04.01.2022 You all may be tired of seeing the RX4 of Phil and Gail Rowles getting posted recently but i really do have to congratulate them once again for yet another PB on Saturdays season opening race meet here at the Perth Motorplex. They managed a couple of 7.9 passes again with a PB of 7.90@173mph straight off the bat. Thats a 4mph PB purely from Gail giving it WOT for 95% of the pass, haha! The engine combination now seems super happy with where it is at and with a few suspension/...chassis tweaks to bring that 60ft down and keep the car stable through the first half of the track we should see a consistent 7.88-7.92 car! #streetbuilt #holleyefi #dominator #builtbyphil

02.01.2022 We had an awesome day at the Perth Motorplex Powerpalooza meeting on Saturday evening. Was a good feeling with the atmosphere from a great crowd! After a late Friday evening sorting out the Rowles' RX4 on the dyno we could not have been happier to see them break into the 7's on just the cars 2nd pass since the upgrades. Huge congrats to Gail and Phil on that effort, was great to see everyone smiling after a hectic couple of weeks!... 01.01.2022 Leon's super cool 1948 Ford Mercury pickup truck came in for an EFI conversion to Holley EFI from his outdated Accel system that was previously fitted to the car. We supplied a TerminatorX system including Holley's Dual Sync Distributor and the required sensors and had Dom @ Audio Image carry out the conversion. Once back in our hands we overhauled the fuel system by replacing all 400 series and 100 series rubber lines and fittings with none other than Speedflow Australia 200... series Teflon. With that done and the injectors flow tested and cleaned by Pro Flow Injector Servicing it copped a fresh set of plugs and onto the dyno for a full tune. The pickup runs a mild alloy headed BBC backed by a T400 and 9 inch diff punching out plenty of torque for a cruiser. 429rwhp@6700rpm on 98pulp! #streetbuilt #holleyefi #terminatorX #audioimage
