18.01.2022 Thank you Sigourney! Last week, our Dentons secondee Sigourney finished her 12-week placement with Street Law. Similarly to other secondees who joined us at the time, Sigourney commenced her secondment with us as we transitioned to working remotely. Sigourney was a highly knowledgeable and diligent member of the Street Law team, and attended our Passages outreach legal clinics remotely. About her time with Street Law, Sigourney had the following to say: "I am very thankful fo...r having had the opportunity to volunteer at Street Law. My time with Street Law was a humbling and rewarding experience and I am grateful to have been able to assist with the amazing work Street Law does for young people at risk of and experiencing homelessness." Thank you again to Dentons for their continued support.

17.01.2022 Thank you Shelter WA for organising and giving Street Law the opportunity to attend this forum. The event allowed the City of Perth’s Lord Mayor candidates to hear the voices of those with living experience and lived experience of homelessness. The time for action is now so that those experiencing homelessness are not dying at the rate of one per week.

08.01.2022 Thank you, Anthony! Anthony started as a volunteer with us on February 2019 and remained with us to complete his Practical Legal Training until August 2020, dedicating an entire 18 months with us! Anthony assisted us a great deal over his time with us including contribution to the development of Community Legal Education materials and delivery of training. Anthony was dedicated and passionate about our cause and assisted many clients with difficult legal issues. Anthony said... the following about his time with us: I am incredibly grateful to have worked with Street Law. During my time, I saw not only the very real and harsh realities of homeless Western Australians, but also a group of staff solely driven by the mission of making the lives of these Western Australians better. While it was often disheartening to see the extent of homelessness in WA and the many ways in which it affects individuals, it was equally as heartening to be a part of an organisation that was committed to reducing this inequality, and to know that Street Law will continue to advocate for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in WA. I am thoroughly appreciative of my time with Street Law, and would urge anyone considering how to best use their legal skills and time to consider working with Street Law towards their goal of ending homelessness in WA. We are grateful for all the time and passion that Anthony has dedicated to Street Law Centre and his presence is sorely missed!
