13.01.2022 WoooooHoooo We`ve had a win ! Bike test will be returned to Joondalup. Thank you to all those who lodged a complaint. A lot of work from a lot of people has led to this result.... Power of the people, & never giving up. As promised I am now able to advise that we have found a solution to the storage issue for motorbikes at Joondalup and we will be recommencing bike assessments every day at Joondalup commencing the 14 October. Following is the broadcast communication we are sending to all motorbike instructors in the area this afternoon. Good Afternoon, This is to update you since our latest correspondence on 30th July 2019 in relation to the Practical Riding Assessments (PRA) at Joondalup. As you are aware, the Department of Transport (DoT) made some changes earlier this year in the relation to the number of PRAs offered at our Joondalup Service Centre. These changes were due to a number of operational challenges faced by DoT at that time, that led to the decision to relocate some of the PRAs offered from Joondalup to our Mirrabooka and Midland Service Centres. We acknowledge this decision has impacted on number of PRAs available from our Joondalup Service Centre and has caused some inconvenience for candidates and instructors when seeking to undertake a PRA in the northern suburbs. As many of you will be aware DoT has been working behind the scenes to address the issues that led to this situation to ensure that candidates in the northern suburbs could access PRAs from the Joondalup site. I am pleased to advise that changes have now been made which will allow us to offer PRAs on a daily basis at the Joondalup Service Centre. Motorcycle assessments will be released and made available in the DoT website (booking site) or by calling the Customer Contact Centre on telephone 13 11 56 commencing Monday 7 October 2019 for bookings each day commencing 14th October 2019 at Joondalup. Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to road safety in the community and we look forward to continuing to work with you. I hope to see you when I am next at Joondalup
