05.01.2022 I'm terrible at social media, but my lifters are long overdue some credit for their amazing work. What better way to start than with this record squat? The back story is Danielle was given a record for a 140kg squat at last year's Masters Nationals, but shortly after receiving the certificate, it was discovered that with the new weight/age classes the real record was 160kg set in March 2016. Instead of lamenting the situation, it was simply, "Oh well, easy come, easy go" and we made a plan to get to 161kg at this year's Masters. It took a 4th attempt to do it and amazing handlers as I couldn't travel to Cairns (massive thanks to Liz Craven and Stacey Rocco!), but Danielle is now officially a record breaking lifter. Her name never made it up on the PA records page in 2018, but it's there now and I couldn't be prouder!!!
