25.01.2022 Check out some great programs from a great gym

23.01.2022 On Sunday I competed in my first triathlon, and the kids did the 1km dash. The photographer did a fantastic job and the photos he took just melt my heart. So very proud of my little athletes

23.01.2022 Sadly after another visit to the physio today my injury woes continue. Another week of rest followed up by scans if it's still not improving. Not running is driving me bat crap crazy but I keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end. Meanwhile I just need to rest, ice and Voltaren.

23.01.2022 First long run back from injury.....10km on an icy quiet morning. Thoroughly enjoyed the first 8km just taking it easy....sadly had to walk the last 2km with stomach cramps first time for everything I guess.... just glad to be back at it and glad to be doing it with the On Track crew.

18.01.2022 Completed my first triathlon today and I can tell you it won't be my last! I loved it. Need a LOT of work on my swimming but I still managed to complete it. 300m swim 9km bike and 3km run. Thanks Sal for convincing me to give it a go, had a fantastic morning and loved doing it along side you. The littlest Renos also completed the 1km fun run and were happy with their flash medals. Such a proud day.

17.01.2022 Headed out this morning planning on doing 24km. I accomplished this but not quite how I first intended. Weather was disgusting (and yes I know it can also be like this on race day and I would just have to suck it up) but I made a executive decision to finish my last 14km on the bike. Not exactly any easier but quicker at least so I did have to be out there quite so long. Now to warm up...... #GORmarathon #chilledtothebone #crosstraining

16.01.2022 So instead of waiting at the start line for the Great Ocean Road marathon, I'm sitting in my pjs drinking coffee feeling a little sorry for myself. An jnflammed tib post tendon (possibly caused by overuse) has had me on rest for the last 2 weeks with at least another week to go. I will get out on the bike later and go do boxing today but I am missing running. It will be worth it though as I'm gearing up to start training for the Surf Coast Century 50km soon and wanting to be in prime condition when I tackle this run again was a higher priority than suffering through a run deep down I knew I shouldn't be doing injured (been there, done that with a dodgy hamstring when I ran the GOR half the first time).

14.01.2022 Pretty happy with today's effort. Looks like my training is really starting to pay off #rollercoasterruntraining #3weekstogo

11.01.2022 First long run on the training road to the Cadbury Marathon. Took it nice and easy, reconnected with my love of running, met an interesting character and got swooped by a magpie. My morning is complete #Iwillrun42kmforchocolate

11.01.2022 There was a heat warning posted before we ran but hey I've never been one to knock back a challenge In hindsight perhaps I should have..... 21km up and down Arthur's Seat urgh. First half was brilliant and I enjoyed it...the last half blew chunks But both Tim and I finished so that's all that matters....even if one of us did it easier than the other.....I will leave you guessing as to who

08.01.2022 My girl did her first Cross Country on Thursday. So proud of her, she did an amazing job with a big smile on her face. Glad she enjoyed it. #mummyslittlerunner #goodrolemodels #proudmumma

08.01.2022 Training complete for today....time to enjoy the holiday

07.01.2022 It's been a while since I last posted on here, but something big is happening.... This Saturday I take on the Surf Coast Century 100km. I'm excited, nervous and downright scared but looking forward to getting out of my comfort zone! For anyone in the Anglesea area Saturday (or early Sunday morning) feel free to come cheer me on, or track my progress on the app!

05.01.2022 Long run with my sister. 12km in the bank on a stinking hot day, not a bad effort if I do say....but wrecked now #rollercoasterruntraining #coolcore #hammernutrition

05.01.2022 Ran this morning with hubby in preparation for Sharpy's Beer Run next weekend. Felt a little crampy which is not normal for me. Hoping I got rid of the gremlins today and will be free to have a blast next week. Also took my new Ultimate Direction vest out for it's maiden voyage. Pretty happy with how it travelled. #sbr2018 #hammernutrition #coolcore #ultimatedirection #lightfeet

03.01.2022 An hour and 4 minutes before midnight I crossed the finish line at the Trails + You Yangs 21km event and achieved what I feel is redemption for a year that held more disappointments than achievements. I did it with determination and more importantly enjoyment. It was tough event. Mentally it takes a lot to climb the saddleback track 4 times, and coming down isn't any easier, but as hard as it was I enjoyed it. It was a beautiful day/evening and I was lucky enough to share it ...with a good friend. I did this event 2 years ago and after the 3rd lap cried like a baby and begged my father to let me quit (I didn't quit but I really really wanted to), this year I moved with determination and once I was out there never considered giving up. I completed all 4 laps without tears and without hesitation. 2020 will see me moving forward with determination and no consideration of quitting See more

02.01.2022 The medical industry recognises that only 3% of people who lose weight keep it off. They then go on to tell ALL of their patients that if they try hard enough t...hey can all be part of that 3%. Correct me if I'm wrong but... I didn't think that's how math worked? Rather than trying to make 100% of people a 3% statistic, it makes better sense to look to more effective ways of improving physical and mental health. Inspiration for this post came from the @donoharmpodcast featuring @ragenchastain

01.01.2022 Bring a friend to FT50 tonight....argh was tough but as always loved it!! Great job Dee!!
