19.01.2022 #selfcaresunday In my role as a pharmacist I visit many patients referred by doctors or specialists for various reasons. This week I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Shane and Nicole. This couple touched me deeply. They had been married for 2 years (together for 8 years) and both had cerebral palsy. Their honesty with how they felt and the struggles they shared as a different couple brought me to tears. Their simple ability in speaking the truth meant I was able to hel...p them in a meaningful way as they communicated their challenges with clarity and vulnerability. This couple would inspire many with their beautiful approach to life. Thank you, Shane and Nicole, for sharing your wisdom on my visit. Can you keep things simple And be honest and true Can you share how you feel When others ask you Can you share emotions Without feeling self-blame Those that are difficult Like vulnerability and shame When you struggle with life And it’s not going to plan Can you swallow your pride And reach out your hand Can you ask for help At any cost Sharing your burdens When you’re feeling lost Reaching out to friends And being able to confide As oppose to withdrawing And running away to hide Asking for help Takes courage and strength But ask regardless Go to any length Be transparent Show yourself grace Be truthful With the struggles you face As you outwardly share The feelings from within Honesty will allow The healing to begin So give yourself permission To receive love and care For a burden is halved Once a burden is shared And once shame is admitted It will shrink and cower For once its spoken It will lose its power So this is my invitation When you’re feeling weak Try not to withdraw But be brave and speak And as you do The energy you’ll vibe Will most definitely begin To attract your tribe And together you’ll rise And you will succeed At the challenges you face With the support you need For you’ve got this And we’ve got you Your tribe will surround you In all that you do Deep breath in Then let out a sigh Now walk tall With head held high

For people to come a feel peace and calm and to feel supported. A place to heal.Where if you had a passion, we would get excited with you. A place where the profits would go to help others locally and overseas... A place where there was lots of love and no judgement.....This was our dream......From this dream,The Farm was birthed... Now we ...have the most wonderful community and the vision continues. Thank you to all of you who saw the fruits of a beautiful community coming together at The Markets ... THANK YOU TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE At times our vision Impossible it seemed But anything can be achieved If you have a dream A place we had In our heart and mind A place of love Where people were kind Where people were welcomed As they walked through the gate Where they only felt love No judgement or hate Where if in need And not feeling the best A place to just come A sanctuary to rest Where souls were encouraging And offered support Where it was guaranteed Love never ran short Where you felt nourished In body, mind and soul And when you left You felt totally whole And if you had a passion We could promote and excel And give abundantly From our overflowing well To encourage people That they can achieve All that they desire And to help them believe Some days you need silence At times you need chatter May your needs be meant And you believe that you matter That if you needed to cry We’d sit with your fears And listen to understand And wipe away your tears And with your successes We would celebrate too In your joy and excitement And feel happiness too That every person Has a right on this earth And this is the truth From the day of your birth And through what we do We see the ripple effect And many others are helped And many needs are met It started with a dream This is our story And now we see it In all of its glory For The Farm is ours But it’s yours too A place for me A place for you So from deep within our souls A heartfelt thank you For our amazing community And all that you do Together we make a difference All your beautiful souls You are ALL important Don’t underestimate your role So let’s keep making a difference Leaving heart prints on this land And eagerly await What the Divine has planned
