25.01.2022 HPV News! This year due COVID19 the entire 2020 Queensland HPV calendar was cancelled. Unfortunately this meant that it impossible for Stretton's senior riders to compete in their final year. Last Saturday the IDT staff, parents and senior riders took to the Ipswich Cycle Track for what we called the ‘Final Roll’. This was a social ride with a BBQ brunch to give the student (parents and staff!) the opportunity to take to the track together one last time!... It was an emotional day for all involved as some of these students had been part of the program for 8 years, from our initial ‘Smiley Push Cart’ team when they were in grades 5 & 6! Thanks you for all those great years of service and memories, you will all be missed.

24.01.2022 Today our Un11 Gowan Boys Football Academy team played in the Statewide Sports Junior Football Cup at South’s United. The tough conditions didn’t seem to effect the boys putting on what could only be described as a football master class scoring a massive 41 goals and only conceding 2 for the tournament. Stretton came up against Boronia Heights State School in the Grand Final. Although it was a competitive finish to the day, they continued their winning streak defeating Boronia 3-1 making Stretton the overall Champions. Well done boys! A special congratulations to Strahinja Skavo who was awarded Player of the Tournament.

20.01.2022 Our Year 8 and 9 Wonder of Science Teams competed with ZEST and CREATIVITY at this Year's official WOS State Finals. Our Year 9 team came away with 3rd Place and our Year 8 team secured 2nd Place in a tough competition. Throughout the day the students participated in a virtual campus tour and listened to keynote speakers such as Dr Kirsty Short and the Minister for Science Meaghan Scanlon. They engaged in rich conversations with other teams across the state regarding the research projects presented and overall had an informative, fun and memorable day. Congratulations to our WOS teams - what a great result!
