19.01.2022 Gotta Love Australia's NBN Well the time has come to be forced to NBN from Optus internet/phone, no problem you would think..... wrong !!! I can say the installation of the NBN modem to the cable connection here last Saturday week ago was a absolute breeze, up and running in less than a hour.... Easy as to get the phone changed over along with the internet connection, how wrong one could be, thought it was a little quite this morning on the phone, no calls up until 10am, pick the phone up and it has a disconnected signal, funny it was working yesterday. Moral of the story is after contacting the new provider, yes Sir you phone is in the process of being ported over to us, this could take up to 6 weeks, WHAT i said with a few choice words thrown in for good luck, are you kidding me. Time will tell how long it takes, hence why if you call the shop number it is disconnected, it's in that big NBN net void with no where to go and no one to connect to. Fair dinkum you have gotta love Australia's backward step to the National Bullshit Network don't you. Be patient, it will probably be connected sooner or later, maybe later at this stage, who knows.

12.01.2022 Strictly Ham Stage 4 Lockdown As announced today, Melbourne heads into stricter stage 4 lock-down with nearly all businesses to close for 6 weeks, this decision also effects the way Strictly Ham is allowed to trade. As of 11:59pm Wednesday August 5th Strictly Ham will be forced to close the retail side of the business, this means no in-store traffic.... I would like to point out that although the retail side of the business is closed during this time, the online side of the business will still be functional and operational 100% Also during this time I would like to inform everyone that phone support will be limited due to the increase expected with online orders and email support. If in doubt about stock levels at the moment I would suggest a quick email to ask if the item you are interested in is in stock and available, delays in production, international freight and demand for product is making it extremely hard to keep up with supply Everyone, please take care in these troubled times.

02.01.2022 The Waiting Is Over The first shipment of 75 units of the new IC-705 arrives at Strictly Ham tomorrow, August 27th, now the fun begins all those back orders to pack and ship. When will I get time to play with one ? Obviously a lot later than those of you waiting on this new product.... A little patience would be appreciated as it is going take a little while to get more than 50 units packed and ready to ship to all those customers waiting
