24.01.2022 Well legends, this post has probably been a little while in the making... it'll come as perhaps a bit of a shock (or maybe not, your call) that Shylie and I are busy bees. When the Rona first hit we embraced the idea of doing something, ANYTHING! Thus Driveway Drinks was born. It's been so wild and we've loved every opportunity to sing and play in the last 30 WEEKS! We've made the decision to cut our DD back to once per month. This way we can give you the best music, the best... banter, the best vibe! With everything else in our lives kicking off again we're starting to feel a little overwhelmed, so have decided to step back, breathe, and regroup. Something super exciting is we have a REAL LIVE GIG! Good old Rona couldn't keep us away forever, and The Bay Pizzaria & Cafe at Port Mac are game to have us on 22nd November. We'll do some new stuff, some old stuff, some original stuff, and some banter. Hope to see some beautiful friendly faces in real life, and this will be our next streamed gig! 19.01.2022 I wrote a new song recently, and have been wondering when/how to share it with the world. Unlike my usual catchy ditties, this song is raw and painful. It came to life over the past few weeks during my weaker moments, when the Black Dog has been around. Is it fitting to post a song about being so categorically Not OK on Are You OK Day? Perhaps not. But it's ok. It's ok to feel this way sometimes. It's ok that I have Bad Days. It's ok to not be ok. I have a support network of ...friends and family. I have an amazing wife and beautiful children. I am loved, and I love deeply. So it's ok, even when sometimes it feels like it isn't. It's ok to smash out an average recording in my classroom at lunch time. It's ok to share it with the world. If you asked me at 6pm last night whether I was ok the answer would have been a resounding No. But right now, in this moment, I'm ok. I hope you all are ok too, and if not, I'm right here with love and music <3 L
19.01.2022 Hey champs! So Covid sucks balls unfortunately our gig this Sunday has needed to be postponed but we have decided we will do the gig anyway from home from our driveway and stream it. We're gonna cook up a pizza from home and just do a pseudo gig until we can be @bay pizzeria in person. We are really sorry this is happening to many fantastic local businesses but Limestone Coast we got this! Stay safe, wear a mask, wash your hands and for gods sake stop panic buying loo paper
