23.01.2022 Hi guys, It’s Charlotte Barber and Taylah Wardlaw and as part of our STRIVE project we have chosen to fundraise for the Dolly’s Dream foundation. We think that it is a fantastic cause and makes a difference to everyone. Dolly’s Dream is a foundation that is ran alongside the Alannah and Madeline foundation. It started to up and run after a young girl who was known as the face of Akubra committed suicide in January 2018 (Amy ‘Dolly’ Everett). Her parents have taken the tragic ...event and turned it into a great cause in order to help others and do what they can to put a stop to bullying. Our overall goal for this project is to raise awareness of the increasing suicide rates. A high percentage of suicides in young teenagers is caused by bullying in schools, and we would like to raise as much awareness as we can within local communities near. We hope to raise $500 and would love your help to achieve this. All of the proceeds raised are going to the Dolly’s Dream organisation so they can continue to empower and educate community’s to try and prevent bullying and cyber bullying. Dolly’s Dream will act as a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves and do their best to create a change by, 1. Raising awareness about the seriousness of bullying and it’s devastating effects 2. Working to address bullying and cyber bullying issues in regional Australia 3.
