We have changed the order of our events due to speaker availability so the event this Friday will be focused on Refugee and Immigrant perspectives on COVID-19 by Dr Karen Block. Strive is here to jazz up your semester in lockdown with our Zoom into COVID-19 series. We will begin with a guest speaker webinar series where you will get the chance to hear from guest speakers about how COVID-19 is affecting minority groups across Australia. You will also have the chance to sub...mit some of your own questions to be answered live at the webinar! We will be starting off with Dr Ngaree Blow as our first guest speaker. Dr Blow is the Director of First Nations Health at The Melbourne Medical School. She will be speaking about how COVID-19 is affecting Indigenous Australians. . Watch this space for more updates about the webinar and how to sign up! Our guest speaker series will build up to our Annual Student Case Competition! This year things will be running a little differently, and the case competition will be held over Zoom later in the semester. Make sure to follow our page to get more details on how to sign up!

04.01.2022 Hey Year 3s! Strive Clinic will be holding a Mock MMI workshop for undergrad Y3s who are keen on joining the Unimelb MD course! Like you guys, most of our members in the Clinic team have previously gone through the Multi-Mini Interview and hope to pass on some tips & tricks to help you guys ace the MMI!... Unlike previous years however, the format for this year's mock MMI will be held over Zoom (using breakout rooms), which will hopefully simulate the real interviews for 2020. Below are the details for this year's workshop: Date: 19th of September (Saturday) Introductory talk: 1630 - 1700 AND Mock MMI session: 1700 - 1900 Participants will be paired up* and assigned to one examiner in each breakout room. Participants will have the opportunity to answer 4 questions each randomly selected from a pool of questions. Each participant will receive detailed feedback from the examiner for each question and brief feedback from the participant's buddy. More details will be provided via email for successful applicants. *You can either nominate your own buddy or otherwise be randomly assigned one! At this time, there are limited spots available (~30 spots) and they will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
